we've been 3 times in the past 2 yrs (total of about 7 weeks). T.B.'s a wonderful place to stay - very relaxed and peaceful with some lovely walks through the grounds, swimming in the lagoons and fishing on the estuary along with some very friendly & welcoming regulars.
the new managers (Mike & Jo) are obviously doing a great job, the place is always immaculate and their enthusiasm knows no bounds.
oh btw, the only 'segregation' we've seen, is the seperate car park for day visitors
Im here at the moment since last week. Highly recommended for friendlyness and an idylic location. Im the fat old guy with two young springer dogs. If you are here pop over and say hello
We will be coming back to Tything in August hopefully with Willow she's grown a bit since last year.
Watching MotoGP - BSB & WSB naked together couldn't be better.
I'd def recommend going here, it's one of the nicest places we've been to with some lovely walks around the lakes and old oyster beds as it used to be an oyster farm, plus so many lovely places and beaches around to visit.
Everyone there has been very friendly and it's a very dog friendly site with mike & Jo having a lovely Alsatian.
If your into kayaking they have a resident canoe instructor you can hire canoes and be taken out on the estuary on guided trips.

Can you do the canoe trips nude? (except life jacket)
Iam not sure sorry, not seen them launch but if you go to their eed site I think the name and contact number is on there
Not really as once your in the water then your off the campsite, the canoes that Paul (the canoe instructor) has to hire out are the sit on type so you would be able to see that you were naked, you could as I've done in the past go naked in a kayak with a spray deck as no one can see, well not until you capsize and have to swim to shore 😃.
You could go on the lagoons with the canoes though if it was a nice sunny day and you wanted to stay naked.
It also depends on the tides when you can go out on the estuary, when we've been there it's always been evening or early morning tides so it'd be a bit cool to go naked anyway.

No. You must wear a pair of shorts if going out on the estuary.

Pity, I would have thought that the estuary was plenty quiet enough. 🙁
Thanks for the replies.
We hope to be camping at TB this year as the fees have only risen slightly to 14 pounds per night and I believe, in line with similar sites and there does not seem to be a time restriction on when you can put your tent up and when to take it down.
However for 2 persons sharing a car, the admission fee for visitors has jumped from 8 pounds to 15 pounds and you are time limited 9am to 6pm. So no Mike, its not sour grapes at all. The message here is, always take a tent in the back of your car when visiting TB.

Not sure what the 'sour grapes' ref and my name was about. I only asked for more details! 😮
I wonder if I have to pay extra for the dog now then, as a day visitor. Does anyone know?
Ref Seaside Naturist, yes the estuary is very quite. I must have been on there maybe 4-5 times before I was told that it was not allowed naturist style.

Sorry Antony, should have been Mike I have corrected the error.
what I have read and seen it still seems a lovely place and is still high on
my to do list once we have got our motor home
Just thought.... it's worth a mention, that if you have a partner/friend that is not looking for clothes free time, then this place is also clothing optional.

See that they now have a website http://www.tythingbarn.co.uk/
Do you still need to book if you just want to camp for a night or two if in the area?

And as a result is an excellent place for hesitant partners to experience Naturism and perhaps try it in a perfect location.
I chose Tything Barn for this reason when we first discovered Naturism even though we live in Lancashire. It was the perfect decision and we have not looked back since. 🙂
