Does anyone know of any naturist beaches around Weston Super Mare and Burnham on Sea? Also can anyone recommend a good campsite in that area,
Thanks in anticipation...

The unofficial beach near Burnham is called Berrow and is about 2 miles north of the town and was accessed via a footpath across the golf course and dunes from near St. Marys church or by hiking along the beach from other access points. Understand from a conversation I had with a naturist a couple of years back who had used this beach that there had been friction with some locals in the past so it may pay to use a windbreak or find a discrete spot in the foredunes.

Not much on other pages of Beaches(UK only) but other locations mentioned include Sand Bay - just north of Weston-Super-Mare, and one at/near Clevedon. Could any local members help with this ?

Been to one at Berrow. Drive on to the beach and drive as far left as you can go. Most naturists hide in the bushes.

I've been going to Berrow off & on for several years. Only the dunes have ever been ok for nude sunbathing. It used to be quite well-used [if mainly by men] and ok but buckthorn, brambles & nettles have overgrown the dunes. It's always been a bit 'cruisy' [for gays] but at one time you could find a spot near the beach & keep out of the way. Not able to do that really any more so fewer people & no couples. Pity because it's a really good view on a clear day.
The spot at Sand Bay I think is actually across the headland at the end - there used to be part of a bay that was partly secluded by scrub - a landfall changed all that and last few times I went [about 4 years ago]  there was max one other person there besides me.
North of Clevedon off coastal path from Lady bay to Portishead there is a large rock shelf by the sea - ok if you find as spot without fishermen & not overlooked from the path [you also get quite a few people walking along the rock ledge]. Great view again. Used to be a few guys there, but again not many now. Not been for a couple of years but last few times I have a spot where very few walk past and I was ok on my own until sunset.
None of these places are what you'd call communal naturist venues though.

Checked it out once, it's the nearest to me.  Found a little area amongst the scrub to catch a few rays for half an hour, but I prefer somwhere where I'm not rooted to the spot and can go for a dip.

They're at their desk - over there!

Checked out the Clevedon rock ledges on google earth and geograph.org.uk - bet they are hot with the sun reflecting on a nice day.
