With nighttime temperatures often upwards of 15 C during summer a nighttime ramble would seem like a great way of doing a long country walk without risk of bumping into anyone. Thinking of giving it a go during July. Anyone done similar?
Never done a night walk but sounds like fun, and I should imagine a lot cooler
Life isn't surviving the storm, its learning to dance in the rain.
I've been known to leave my house and wander up the road in the middle of the night.....but that's about it.
Boundaries are there to be stretched!
What sort of time and where? Sounds interesting.
I used to walk for midnight skinny dip at studland back when you were allowed to park overnight
I really should have been born on a tropical island

Same here.

Yes several times and naked cycle rides on country roads. Also very early morning are good too (4am or earlier).
Nude night walks was actually what started me being more of an external nudist! I live in the country and have a dog, so before bed he always gets a night walk. Many, many years ago in the summer I did this with just a pair of shorts, but with it being so warm, and normally never coming across any cars on the walk to the wood and back (about a mile - 1.5 miles), I started first taking the shorts off and holding onto them so I could quickly slip them back on, then just not bothering. A few times over the years a car has come by and normally plenty of time to find a spot to hide - I did say normally. Once did hear the car just as the road lite up so just bent down holding onto the dog - they may have guessed I was naked, another time slow moving car coming around a corner from behind me (hence very quite) and when the lights hit me (me in the middle of the road - no paths in the country), well there was little point in hiding, so just moved to the side of the road (found out later it was a local and they thought I had just come from a late night skinny dip from the reservoir).
I have done several 4 mile night walks - but you need a good moon to be able to see!
I have walked naked in the dark many, many times. Usually early morning with the dog but sometimes just because I could not sleep. My longest was a six mile loop from home along paths and tracks and a few very short road sections. Done barefoot and carrying nothing. It was a warm summer evening and was one of the most enjoyable walks I have ever had... until I got home. Mrs M was not amused when I let myself back in through the front door naked. Oups.
Have fun,
Ian.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.
Being unable to get back off to sleep after waking up at about 4am this morning I decided to go out for a little walk - one I've done before naked. Through a field then down a residential road that is quite busy in the daytime; then across the churchyard and back down a less busy road; probably about a mile in all. When I've done it before it has always been dark but this time it was dawn and so quite light which made it feel a little strange. Still no one else around although there were a number of cars passing by on the main road alongside the churchyard.
Yes, no problems with privacy.
I haven't been for a naked summer night time walk since I was a teenager when I walked around the estate that I lived on at the time in the middle of a warm night. Something to do again which is on my bucket list!
Yes, I agree that early in the morning at this time of year is the best, although there sem to be a lot less places to go nowadays, with buildings going up on formerly remote areas and the numbers of security cameras rocketing. I'm in Derbyshire and would be interested to hear of local walks and locations for sure. 🙂

I don't mean to judge, but if you're trying not to attract attention or give the wrong impression while wandering about the countryside naked during the hours of darkness, bending over and grabbing the dog might not be the best tactic. Just saying.... 😀
I did a number of night time walks when I started into freestyle naturism, having started with early morning runs around dawn in the summer. However, in the evenings I tried walking by moonlight. Ok until in the woods, where it was so dark that it was easy to walk off the narrow path, and on one or two occasions found myself blundering about the woods trying to find my way out and back to my clothes.
Tread lightly upon the earth
"You fill up my senses like a night in the forest".
I haven't done it yet. I'm gonna do before I die....
