Anyone have any up to date info on naturist beaches in N Devon. I have read about Saunton sands and Wild Pear in Bare Britain but I wonder how up to date that info is? We are in the area all summer. Let's hope it is a hot one for us all.

I live 5 miles from Saunton, about 12 from wild pear......
Wild pear a great little beach, very difficult to get to since winter two years ago washed away steps down to beach, was a bit of a scramble last year to get to, but I believe work has been going on to improve access.... A great naturist beach, but not frequented by many , so more textiles are using it...

Saunton is great.... 3 mile long beach, naturist part about 2 miles in.... Not official but used by many..... I've been in height of summer, lots of naturists about , but because of dunes , a few peeping toms hang about very occasionally

I've been using a beach furhter down the coast, over the Cornish boarder, nr Crackington Haven. Not got down there so far this year but its a stunning beach also out of the way like Wild Pear with just a handfull of naturists, but a very relaxing beach nontheless.

Went to Wild Pear beach yesterday, 24 May, for the first time. Just an update on access for anyone who is interested after a lovely warm and sunny day. Tide was out, so plenty of room  on the foreshore. Surprised that there were not more there, sheltered from the wind and very peaceful. A straightforward path down , well zigzag. Suggest good shoes or boots as the last 30 feet is a definite scramble. The path has disappeared at this point, leaving a muddy shaley slope  trickling with water. Worth it if you can manage this.

Thanks for the report and glad to hear that you got there and had a good day. Sorry I couldn't make it too but did pick up a few bargains at the auction instead, so at least i can do some more naked gardening.

Sounds like Wild Pear could do with a rope like there is a Strangles to help with the last bit on and off the beach.

PS I'm told there is naturist use at White Pebbles Ilfracombe, so that might be worth a look some day.

All the best
Keith
