Over the last few weeks I have been walking the banks of the River Trent in bits from East Stock with to Dunham Bridge on the Nottinghamshire side. Now that fishing season has started, one has to be a bit aware of fishermen on both banks where there are fishing clubs, but there are still plenty of places to walk naked. Today I intend to walk from Carlton on Trent to High Marnham and back. Maybe I'll see one of you guys. Lots of sun cream required. It's going to be a scorcher!
What better place to walk than a river bank? Sounds lovely.
I think now though, it's time for the fishermen to be aware of you, rather than you being aware of them, in fact, there is no need for anybody to to be aware of anyone. They are perusing an activity which they enjoy. There is absolutely no reason for them to stop you doing something you enjoy. Just be careful you don't get hooked! 😀

Have often walked stretches nearer to me on the Trent. Days like this have taken a dip as well.
There are a lot of sections where there is no club membership as most fishermen prefer carp ponds these days.
I had a fabulous time. Near the villages of Carlton on Trent and Sutton on Trent I met some environment Agency guys, but covered up. Apart from that I was naked all the way. No fishermen today. Maybe you're right, they don't like fishing the River!
As a fisherman I doubt we will be bothered in fact I was once down at Monknash and a naturist wandered down to the shoreline. We just don’t want to get our lines tangled in certain places.

I've fly fished naked on stretches of the rivers Vyrnwy, Banwy and upper Severn since I was nineteen. The last time was at Buttington Bridge on Wednesday.

Went and had a look at quatford where u suggested but far to many fishermen about will have a look at the others thanks
The last time I went to Quatford was the first week of May during that unseasonal hot weather. It was the course fishing closed season so I only encounter one dog walker. The season opened on 16th so it will be busy for a while as the fishermen have waited three months to fish. The Trent will probably be the same.
There are some good walks on both sides of the Severn you just need to get away from where the fishermen park. Unlike us fly fishermen(or woman in my case), course fishermen are notoriously lazy and will not venture far from their cars.
I have fly fished the Upper Severn from Maesydd to Aberbechan for about fifteen years and have yet to see another person either fisherman or walker. When the fishing has been poor I've just enjoyed a naked walk.
I have occasionally encounter people on stretches of the Vyrnwy and Banwy but never had any problems; but there are stretches of both these rivers that appear to be completely isolated.

I agree with Brooke that coarse fishermen appear to be very lazy, or perhaps they have too much stuff to carry, but they don't walk far from their cars. I have walked past idyllic lakes with fishing pegs available, but no car track and these are deserted. Lucky for me I guess as I am not one for confrontation, particularly when naked.
I intend to walk along a bit of the Notts/Lincs stretch of the Trent again on Tuesday if anyone fancies joining me.
Stopped off at Pool quay on the severn did managd a bit of a walk and cooled off in the severn half way was quiet but still encountered a large group of walkers half way point
