Does anyone else have any information about this new destination resort/hotel - it looks like it's scheduled to open end of August - and the website is worth a look at.

Whilst it was the Pasion Tropical it was a gay-only resort and may well be following the same journey that the Magnolias Natura went through as it developed into a successful naturist resort - possibly by the same people?

Very sad news as we thought it a fantastic place in a prime location.

As we understood it, the hotel was closing so the apartments could be fitted with more modern shower rooms rather than a bath.

structurally there was nothing visibly wrong with the resort so it is a surprise to hear it was an issue.

The email mentions their new facility in Gran Canaria and direct you to the website. Hotel petit natura.

We were hoping to return to Gran Natura in September but will have to look elsewhere now.

My wife likes the look of the Petit Natura so I've booked a week there in November and I'll report back if I remember (or if somebody reminds me).

Because they took over a closed complex they paid a low rent for the duration of the lease. Now the lease is up for renewal, in the usual way of Spanish landlords it went up gazillions, thus not worth it..I have little doubt that one way or another it will reopen as a textile all inclusive, to join the rest of them in Corralejo

We didn't expect the GHN to close, but we were worried about the possibility of an over run on the refurb. We didn't want to delay booking a room, and then not get a flight, or book a flight and then not get a room.
Because of this we booked 2 weeks at Vasilliki instead jic.
It's a pity that the GHN has closed as we've really enjoyed the 2 holidays we had there.
We might try the Petit Natura next year, unless we go to Vasilliki again 8)

I only use a phone connection as a WiFi hotspot for my netbook and have had no problems with the site using Chrome.

There is not problem with the hotel but there may be one with the booking process and I am assisting in diagnosing it.

Panic over - it turned out to be finger trouble on my part.
There are NO problems with their system.

The builders are there now.the roof has been taken off the front part of the building, all windows and doors have been ripped out, piles of rubble on site.i think it would have been easier to pull the building down. From what I was told it’s going to be a textile hotel.
