Just booked a late holiday to the Kassiopi area of Corfu (North-East).
Has anyone been to that area and found any suitable naturist beaches?
The nearest beach to where we are staying is called Avlaki (on google maps) which looks like a quieter beach. I have searched the web but I can't find much in that area about naturist beaches.
I have been to Arillas some years ago so I know about the North beach there but that is about 40mins away.
Thanks.

I have just got back from Kassiopi. Avkaki is the main beach that gets mentioned as naturist, but on the day we went there I couldnt see any sign of naturists.
If you walk out of the harbour heading south, past the Tavernaki taverna, and along the coast oath you will come to a small cover where it is first come first served in terms of dictating whether naturist or textile. I certainly didn’t seem to cause any issue by going naked there. Seldom more than 8-10 people and normally less. Sometimes I was the only naked person, sometimes my wife was the only one in a costume.
If you walk out of the far end if Avlaki beach and along the paths there, then you will come to some remote beaches where you will be fine being naked if you don’t mind a bit of a hike. And most of the walk you can do naked if you wish.

You may be too far away at Kassiopi, but we found Issos Beach, in the south-west of the island, a perfect naturist beach: vast, sandy, warm sea, a completely relaxed atmosphere, and dunes/forest to explore if you are equipped to walk on hot sand. From the car park, walk to the sea, and if you then turn right and walk, the naturists soon outnumber the unenlightened textiles.

G (a ‘born naturist’) & J (who happens to be married to a naturist, but believes ‘When in Rome...’). See profile for details!

One more place that is worth a try is at the very end of the headland. If approaching from the harbour, ignore the beach to your right and go towards the headland. Come to an area of flat rocks, textile when I have been there, and get into next small shelter very small cove. I have sunbathed naked there on several occasions and never had any issues.
But like other coves  I mentioned not sanctioned nudists beaches, just places you stand a good chance of being OK. Also based on visits in May and September so outside of busiest times.

This is the feedback I promised about my trip to the Kassiopi area of Corfu.

Ref Avlaki beach, it looked too busy. However, Avlaki East Beach (see Google maps) is good for naturism. To get there take the footpath through the woodland at the eastern end of the main Avlaki beach car parking area. About a third of the way through the woods, someone has hand written “Nude Beach” on the back of a sign attached to a tree. At two thirds through the woods “Nude beach” is written vertically down a tree on the right.
The beach was deserted both times we got there at about 10:30, and only a few other people arrived later, the first after 11:00. We went to the far right of the beach where there was some natural shade.

On the first day, there were no other people going nude which was concerning. Three women who appeared to be daughter, mother, grandmother and based in the middel of the beach came towards me and ended up right in front, using a bit of a natural jaccuzi around the rocks.
On the second day, the next people to turn up were naturists. Another couple walked past us and scrambled over the rocks to get to a tiny bit of beach beyond. They were naturists. A solo woman arrived at the beach late afternoon in a bikini. The bikini came off and she had a skinny dip before putting her bikini back on a walking off. A few other non-naturists arrived but there was no problems encountered. A very good time was had both days I am pleased to say.

There was another beach, or beaches, we found by chance. Call us mad English people, but we walked to Aghios Stefanos, about 3 miles from where we were staying and SE of Kassiopi. The walk was nice but it was a bit too hot, so not recommended in these conditions. Anyway, after lunch we took a coastal route back to our apartment and found several small beaches on route. On the first, about 700m from the Eucalyptus Taverna in Aghios Stefanos, there was a nude couple. The next, after another, 300m, was another nude couple. We stopped at this beach for about 30mins and had a dip ourselves. The other couple moved on shortly after we arrived. There are other beaches further along this coast line, all quiet and isolated. Apart from the two couples I mentioned, we saw no-one else along this footpath until we got to Akoli Beach. This beach however, although isolated was packed with tour boat tourists – not recommended.

Pictures are of Deserted Avlaki East main beach and the tiny beach over the rocks I mention above.

I hope this helps anyone else going to that area.

I can only comment on the south west of the Island but I confirm that Issos beach is perfect for naturists. Great long beach and a lot of interesting countryside to explore behind the beach. Also some very good beaches to the south of Agios Georgios. Just spent a very happy (albeit very hot) week in the area.

We found a very quiet little bay on the headland to the east of Kassiopi which looks across to Albania where we had a skinny dip. I can't pinpoint the bay now because it was 1976 on our honeymoon! I remember we drove there.

I was there April 2019 and went to Issos most afternoons. If you have a car and can go round lake Korission there is a very long stretch of sandy beach and several naturist couples along an almost deserted south eastern section. Not actually that far from Issos as the crow flies but not certain you can get over the lake exit to the sea.
