I walked along the Robin Hood Way through Sherwood Forest yesterday and back to Edwinstowe along the cycle trail (clothed). Lots of people about, particularly cyclists. Nearly all willing to exchange pleasentries or nod in acknowledgement even when speeding by. I said 'good morning' to one jogger and he completely blanked me. So I don't think the couple ignored you because you were naked, they, like a few other folk, are simply ignorant regardless.

Similar experience to us yesterday. After a few nude hours on the beach, we dressed and cycled back through a forest to our car and passed a number of walkers, joggers and cyclists. Some offered greetings, some returned greetings, some blanked us completely. There's nout as queer as folk. Had better responses from textiles walking past us while we were sat nude on the beach.

I'm not one for early mornings but was up and out on Busby Common at 5.30 am this morning the sun was beating down and it was absolutely beautiful.  Was out again at 7 pm this evening the sun was even hotter and again beautiful. I cant get enough  just lately. Think I'm getting old though. Stopped.watching TV. Not had a drink for 4 months and I've even put some.tomato plants in and now I'm up at bloody 5am ?

Had a lovely 14.25 mile walk today. I met another naturist on his bike and he rode with me for about 8 miles. I put my bag on his bike so I didn't have to carry anything. It is a wonderful feeling when you don't have to carry anything and you don't have anything to cover up with. There were'n't many people about though. I walked naked on a cycle track for about 8 miles and at one time walked along side a busy main road for about 300 yds. I think everyone gets naturism when it is very hot. The comments today were, don't blame you, that's the way to do it, you got the right idea, good on yer, Way to go etc.

I had a giggle tonight. Went out at 8pm as it was far to hot for the dog earlier. Had a lovely walk up to.the windmill and back. As I reached the main cycle route on my way back I met an elderly woman who looked lost. Oh hello she said I said hello are you alright do you need any help. Oh she said you don't have any clothes on. I asked if it bothered her No I'm just surprised she replied.

Are you lost I asked. She was ment to be meeting some bird watches and didn't know where. She was worried as she was on her own, it was getting dark and then she met a naked man. But your alright she said because you have a dog. I told her they'll be on the common  looking for Night Jars and offered to show her the way as we walked we talked she was quite witty saying my friend will wish she'd waited for me when I tell her about you. When we reached the common her friends were waiting for her, 4 of them. She thanked me for my help then said by the way, you have a lovely bum. I thanked her and went on my way. As I  turned a corner to head back to my car there were at least 20 bird watches all with their binoculars and long lenses pointing at me, in for a penny I thought and carried on my path. I think I have done my bit to raise awareness today.

Great stuff, and so long as that was all you raised! Love encounters like that. I was on the moors yesterday with 5 others and all our textile encounters were positive. Think many were quite jealous given the weather.

Life’s too short. Do it today!

Well done you are really helping to spread the word that we are just normal friendly helpful people. I stayed naked the whole time while walking 14 miles yesterday even crossing main roads. When its hot it makes sense to people that you might want to be naked.

This is a disgusting story in the sun, the way they have distorted the story, I have written to British Naturism asking them to make an official response. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11966777/birdwatchers-shocked-naked-rambler-nature-reserve/

At least the quoted response from the RSPB spokeswoman was supportive ...

Pathetic, I wish people and especially the media would grow up. I too have come across many bird watches and never had any issue with them, lone females too some of them, what is it with these people that see naturism as something disgusting.

They always have to get the children comment in there as well pathetic, bloody pathetic.

Good response from the RSPB though, at least that's something. Why are the police involved or is that just their reporting spiel?

Shame about the sun report.

I'm going back to work Wednesday next week and thought Tuesday might be a good day for a walk at Sherwood.

But with the extra press and police interest in not sure I'd like to risk it.

Anyone going Tuesday who'd like a tag along? Just thinking a pair of group is easier to explain.

DM me if you're going on Tuesday. Ta.

If you're a couple in the Midlands and are under 50...say hi.

Don't let  it put you off, I'm out everyday and had no problems as yet.

I'm thinking of sending an exclusive to the Sun. "Dozens of weirdows spotted prowling Budby Common at dusk with their long lenses and binoculars trained on insistent naturists, spoiling their peaceful walks. Police have been informed".

Do we know the guy in the photo? I wonder how he feels having his picture in the paper.

The police will not be interested in this. They have told me more than once they will only attend if someone is insistent that someone has intentionally caused alarm and distress. This article isn't worth the paper it is written on, poor sensational journalism, could have been written by a child.

@lougabanuda

If the weather stays ok I could be tempted to join you. Pm me and I will decide nearer the day as the weather has been a little unpredictable lately.

@dgildoo

That would be great gildo. I've only ever been around local farm fields so to go somewhere where naturists are generally tolerated (except for this latest episode) would be great.

If you're a couple in the Midlands and are under 50...say hi.
