Has anyone got any recommendations for nude walks in Lancashire and Cumbria?

If you like a bit of climbing, the two ridges north and south of the lesser-known Borrowdale valley (not the Keswick one) are great. Start from either Hucks Bridge on the A6 a few miles north of Kendal, or at the other end near Tebay just off the A685 where it runs parallel to the M6. You may meet a few (under 10) people in a day but usually you will see them a long way off. It's possible to walk much of the valley naked too, but there's more risk of meeting people quite suddenly, albeit very few of them. In July there can be some nasty biting flies in places, but not usually on the north ridge.

Just the other side of the M6 - same junction at Tebay - we did this walk yesterday:

I was naked for over 2 hours, and could have done a bit more, as we saw nobody between Tebaygill Farm and nearly the end of the walk. Not knowing the terrain, and because it was BH Monday, I was a bit circumspect. Mrs F stayed dressed, mainly because it was on the cool side for her, but she's often happier dressed anyway if she's carrying a back-pack. At least she doesn't object to me stripping off.
It looks like other ridges in the Howgills are worth exploring too.
