How to use the Image Galleries

Once your application to join the Image Gallery has been approved you will see the Image Gallery sections added to the Forum (see image above).

There are two Image Gallery sections.  General and Personal.  You use the same methods to upload files to both.  But.

In the General Gallery you will create a new Topic each time you add images.
In your Personal Gallery you will first create a new Topic (in your Username) and when you add more images you will ADD to that Topic.

As an example we will first upload an image to the General Image Gallery.

Go to the General Image Gallery section of the Forum

Click ADD TOPIC

  • Enter a title – this could be a place, time, event, etc etc.
  • Now tell other members about about the image(s) in the text area. You can put as much as you like.
  • Now you are ready to upload the image(s).  Do one of two things:

SELECT IMAGE METHOD

    • Click on ‘Choose a File’. This will open your Personal Image Library window (see reference image below).
    • Click on the blue Upload Your Files.
    • Your device file manager will open and you can navigate to and chose the file(s) you want.
    • Make sure that there is a tick in the small box to the right of the DELETE button.
    • Now click on the green Insert Into Post button. The image attachment will now appear in your text box along with your text.
    • You may repeat the upload process to a maximum of 4 images. When finished, click on ADD TOPIC

DRAG AND DROP METHOD

    • Open your device File Manager, find the image file(s) you wish to add.
    • Drag and Drop the files over the open text box of the Topic you’ve created
    • The image attachment will now appear in your text box along with your text.
    • You can view the uploaded file in your Personal Image Library by clicking on Choose a File where you will see it listed.
    • You may repeat the upload process to a maximum of 4 images. When finished, click on ADD TOPIC

Your new Topic, complete with the images will now appear in the General Image Gallery section.

To add images to the Personal Image Gallery section.

Go to the Personal Galleries section of the Forum

  • The first time you access this section you will ADD TOPIC as previously.
  • You should use your USERNAME as the title of this new Topic.
  • The use either of the two upload methods above to add your image file(s) to the Topic. (You can up add up to a total of 5)
  • Use the ADD TOPIC button to complete the process.

You will now have your own ‘Topic’ section of the Personal Image Galleries.

TO DELETE AN IMAGE

  •  In the Personal Image Galleries section, go to the Topic with your Username
  • Go to the ‘Add to the Topic’ box.
  • Click on ‘Choose a File‘
  • In the Personal Image Library window that opens, click on the red Delete button for the file you wish to remove.

TO ADD AN IMAGE

  •  In the Personal Image Galleries section, go to the Topic with your Username
  • Repeat the upload process using one of the above upload Methods.
  • Then click the ADD THIS button to complete the process.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

The maximum file upload size is 1Mb … only .jpg, .jpeg and .GIF files are allowed.

If you delete an image file from your Personal Image Library then if you have also used that image in any posts, it will be deleted in those posts.
