Get off at FRP6 and walk the trail through the heathland. Wear decent footwear as path is gravelly before you get to the beach, but it's a lovely walk...

Just adding to what Glenn has already posted, the two NT car parks are free if you're a member, the Knoll beach car park has better facilities though....
