About Me
I think of myself as having a 'naturist gene' because my instincts are to be nude whenever and wherever possible (not just by a pool, on a beach or when it's hot), even though naturism was never an option when I was a child.
I soon realised that nothing matches the profound feeling of liberation and the empowerment that comes with being nude.
Although my wife is not a ‘born naturist’ and still insists she isn’t one (which is why I am the one posting here), she is happy to join me on holidays at naturist resorts and take a ‘When in Rome...’ approach. And because she enjoys the company of fellow members at Oxford Naturist Club (Oxnat), we are frequent visitors, despite the 45-minute trip from our home in Swindon.
With the children having flown the nest, and after occasional nude/naturist experiences over the years, in 2016 we finally enjoyed our first holiday that allowed for extended naturism (in Corfu) and have since had wonderful holidays at naturist resorts in Croatia and Spain that we both loved.
After I took early retirement recently, opportunities to be nude have increased, including at home (which my wife has now come to terms with!), but for various reasons the only people who know we are involved in naturism are naturists.
I like to think that overcoming my wife’s reluctance to join in with naturism offers hope for those people on this forum who are frustrated by their partner’s reluctance - I feel your pain - and if sharing our experience can help, don’t hesitate to ask.
We are always happy to make contact with other naturists.
