Naturism is something I have come to later in life. It started when visiting France and seeing others making use of the West Coast beaches and swimming naked. I started visiting some UK beaches on my own at first, but the sea was often to cold and the weather not great. I also felt a little nervous at being seen or recognised.
I did some investigations on line and decided to try Euronat in France and hired a small studio for a week and my life changed. This I did on my own as my wife was not interested and was immersed in study for an OU degree and still working.
It was a complete revelation that you could walk around completely naked and no one batted an eye. It was at the beach that I suddenly felt the weight lift and feeling of total freedom, confidence and connection with environment, which is something that I’ll never forget.
I saw that they had a good campsite there and as we had a campervan went back the following Year and been going every Year since. I also tried some small French naturist sites, on the way back to the ferry.
After a couple of Years and other Winter holidays in Lanzarote and Crete, where I would be naked if I could, my wife started to come round to the idea and did partake in some beach naturism and then said she would like to come with me to France, so we had our first total naturist experience together at Euronat. She was impressed at the size of the site and the variety of services and security aspects which made her feel more confident. We have met many people there from different countries and came to the conclusion very early on, that naturists on the whole are really nice people.
She is now hooked and we make the most of being naturists whenever we can, but mostly abroad.
