About Me

I started social nudity in 1970, at the age of fourteen (Mark Wilson, then the owner of Eureka, lived close to my vehemently anti-nudity parents and one day, wishing to be naked in the company of others, I went to his bungalow and knocked on his door - to his credit he took me seriously). I was a member of Eureka for ten years in the eighties and early nineties, with my first wife and daughter.

                                          ---

My second wife and I have done some nude walking and beach visits, and spent six clothes free weeks at St Annes naturist camp site, in Dorset, just before it closed in 2018. Nothing since then and my wife isn't keen on stripping off socially, so I'm effectively one of the dreaded and oft maligned single male nudists.

                                          ---

I have never described myself as a 'naturist', whatever that means, and use the term nudist only because it is an easy label that lets others know I love to go naked outdoors and in the company of others.  I do not huff, puff and harrumph at the faintest whiff of sex when naked in the company of others and I'm not incensed by men wearing nothing but tee shirts on the beach, or those who bob up every few minutes to look about them.  I do not accept that naturism or nudism are anything more substantial than easily understood labels, convenient cover to be exploited by nudists dealing with those offended by inoffensive nudity.

                                           ---

There are agreeable like-minded people out there, in East Anglia, and I'm looking for them to be part of a loose and relaxed group for regular social nudity.  I'm not a serial joiner and don't get on well with rule bound committee types.

                                           ---

One thing I'm really keen to join is a reasonably local life-drawing / portraiture group.  If anyone knows of one not too far from Lowestoft I'd be grateful if you'd let me know.
