Heading back to Riu oliva in May also, went there in September and loved the beach which we first discovered 12 years ago on a day visit from Lanzarote and vowed that we would stay in one of the beach hotels one day! Just to feel the hot sun again will be enough for us (we hope!).
Just back from Jandia Princess on Saturday..
Weather could have been better but managed a 6 mile naked walk along the beach one day which was superb.
Also hired a car and drove naked to the north of the island.
Had a week in Maspolomas, Gran Canaria 5-12 Mar just. Weather not brilliant either, very windy, but soooo much warmer than here!
Managed naked walks on the beach & into the dunes....... ::) with lots of naked sunbathing in the Naturist area of the beach too.
Fantastic place & just cant wait to get back there, hopefully sometime in Oct............. 🙂
Not been to Fuerteventura but i'm guessing weather would be similer between all the Canary islands?
I will be at the dunes on the 11th May for a week - can't come soon enough.
I'm off to Fuerteventura in July, we are staying in Jandia. I understand that's the place to be? Our hotel has a nude pool too!
Off to the island in June, staying at the Hotel Atlantis Suite, bonus is a mixed c/o spa.
Cant wait, know what to expect as stayed before 2 years ago,
Been visiting the island for the last 12 years or so and always keep coming back.
Just psoted this on BN on a similar topic. Hopefully it will be useful.
I came back from a week in Fuerteventura last Sunday. I was staying in the Playa Esmeralda at the south end of Costa Calma. The hotel and all inclusive package was good to very good. The hotel was textile . However the beach down from the hotel was mixed (mostly german therefore more naturist. Slightly further along either via the beach when the tide's out, or overland was a second cove before the main 15km beach. this had a number of stone shelters and bushes protecting the dunes and was in the most part narurist. On one day i counted at least 95 people sans clothes. For the best part the textiles were wondering along to get to the next part of beach. Meanwhile we (the naturists) were going in and out of the water strolling and drying or playing petanque (spelling?)
Definitley recommended.
N.B. For the less enlightened, a mostly German and occassional French/Belgian/Dutch. To me it usually means good manners, frienddly if you want to be friedly and certainly more part of our outlook on when clothing is appropriate.....or not.
Marshman,

The pool could be quite small in naturist section and used as a cooling off dip and also plunge from the sauna 😀 but enjoy
Keep On Smiling:)

Yeah I think the pool is quite small but can't complain as there is the whole beach to explore ;D
We stayed in El Cotillo last october, it's where we first discovered the joys of nude sunbathing!
Have to say the lagoon beach we went to was amazing - get there early to get a shelter with a view though!!
Staying In Costa Calma this summer and will be on the stunning beach at Sotavento every day ...love it!
We went to Fuerteventura about three years ago and what a fab beach it is , we hope to go back sometime and stay at thr Riu
🙂
Just got back from Corralejo, stayed at the Riu Oliva right on the dunes, fantastic location and the beach is superb, even managed to get in the sea this time without being battered by the waves, unlike in September. Only problem this time is that the stone circles appear to be getting bagged as quick as the sunbeds around the pool, in September we had no problems, this time not a cats chance. If anyone going out there, head out for a early morning walk along the beach if you want to grab one, mind you it is a fab walk first thing, very peaceful apart from the odd runner, they gota be mad 😮 We gave it a miss, sunbathing was knackering enough 🙂
Hi all, can only echo the comments above, we have been to Fuerte 3 or 4 times staying at the Princess hotels in Jandia. Our preference is the Furteventura Princess, as this has a wonderful naturist area with a small but swimable pool, and the saunas and steam rooms are in this area too. The saunas are large enough for 20 - 30 people and have huge plate glass windows looking out over the sea, a great way to relax after a hard days sunbathing.
the stunning beach at Sotavento
I can only second that, great for walking
