According to the South Florida Free Beaches website:

"Haulover Beach has about 1.4 MILLION visitors each year, bringing in over ONE BILLION DOLLARS to the local economy.

It is the largest singular tourist destination facility in all of South Florida and also ranks in the "Top Ten Things to Do" for tourists who visit Miami."

This! I don't understand why more resort locations don't have designated nude/naturist areas when they can clearly bring in lots, and lots of tourist dollars.

And Haulover should be used as a model. It's clean, patrolled, and because of this, respected.

Hi,

My first post here...and still trying to get my head around all the rules & regs for CN. There has already been a post on Haulover yet when I replied to the previous post it suggested I form a new post, so here we go...

I travel quite a bit with work and found myself with a couple of free days in Miami - so Haulover beach had to be done really 🙂

In summary, a great beach, very clean and a very relaxed atmosphere. I signed up to the Haulover website which is a must for info such as parking and where to position yourself on the beach. The parking is a bit of a bind in that you either have to have the exact coinage or pay with a phone App. After that it's a 5 min walk to the beach and relaxation.

I had just mentioned where you position yourself in the nudie area. The northern part of the nudie area which is predominately the gay section; mid section is hetro/singles and the southern part tends to be more a couple/family friendly area. You can sit/lay where you like but the chatter on the Haulover nudie website is that you'll get harassed more in the gay section which is a real shame!

As of my day, I stayed in the middle hetco section yet walked up and down the beach to all areas. Everyone I met were very pleasant and at no time did I feel harassed. The family section I mentioned had mainly couples yet I did chat with a few. Apart from getting a little caught by the sun on my shoulders the couple of days I spent there were great and very relaxing - I'll definitely head back.

Nice summary, I went two years ago as a single bloke and got no hassle and some great conversations wherever I was on the beach.
It's got to be on any naturists "must visit" list

It is a great beach.
We had a day there in 2015.
Nice to be able to park close in a  proper car park (meaning had to pay of course!) and just a short walk through a tunnel under the road to the beach.
Nice not miles from anywhere.
Had several lifeguards on duty in proper raised buildings. Will be asked to move if you sit in their line of sight to the sea.
Food outlets and toilets on the beach.
Lots of people but not overcrowded. Several family groupings. Nice gentle walk in to the sea.
Could not fault it.

The warning about old posts is only to give you the heads up on whether you wish to continue and old conversation as additional postes may not be relevant.
However, in cases like this it is probably better to revive an old topic so that all the posts about a particular location or beach are together for potential visitors to get a better picture.
May I suggest that in this case the moderators combine the two topics, if they have the time.
