Hi all,

We normally go to Egypt for our holidays, but this year we would like to have a naturist holiday so we are looking for information on places to go,stay etc

We are thing about feurterventura, gran canaria,Vera playa etc,it doesn't have to be a naturist hotel but that would be a bonus, but we would like to be close to the beaches and towns,we won't be hiring a car so would have to be within walking distance or use local transport.

The obvious answer is Hotel Gran Natura in Corralejo, Fuerteventura. http://www.granhotelnatura.com/

It is right on the end of the naturist beach has its own restaurant and snack bar - the restaurant textile and the snack bar nude. There is a bus stop almost outside the door to the town centre and taxis are plentiful and cheap.

The other possibilities are the Rui Oliva and Tres Islas textile hotels in the middle of the naturist beaches, (both bookable through Thompson's) together with several hotels in the south of the island which have a naturist terrace and/or pool.

John beat me to it. Great place - I keep going back. I've only been to Euronat as well as that - really liked there as well - much bigger but very laid back & signs everywhere encouraging you to get naked

I really should have been born on a tropical island

But I'm usually the only one naked in the morning queue at the baker's.

Vera Playa has a naturist hotel beside the beach and there are various naturist urbanisations with apartments. I stayed at an apartment in Vera Natura with easy access to the naturist beach for bars and cafes. Consum is nearby for supplies but you need to be dressed, also for restaurants in hotel street in front of hotel. Otherwise, you can be nude 24/7.

I love being in my skin

Lots of good suggestions coming forward.

If you want an ordinary package holiday with a naturist beach nearby, you might well be able to choose a hotel that has the added bonus of its own naturist terrace (and occasionally a pool too).

There are plenty in the Canary Islands - on Gran Canaria alone, at least 20 textile hotels or apartments with nude terraces to my knowledge, for example. Some are relatively modest establishments and others 5-star. One of the problems is that many of the tour operators are too coy to mention the naturist facility, so it can take a bit of research to find out.

If you want a city-break with naturism too, do consider Barcelona. There are at least five naturist beaches easily accessible by public transport, especially if you head up towards Arenys de Mar/Calella on day trips.

But obviously, no naturist hotel there.

If you like fureteventura you can always book a hotel in town make sure you have a balcony and use that we did this last year and got 2 weeks foe £500. We do always hire a car as we like to go to cotillo but as John said there are buses out to the beach and taxis everywhere.
We are out in Corralejo in June but have a villa where you would need a car there are some places in town.
Hotel gran Natura I stayed here when it was a textile hotel about 12 years ago great for the beach and looks like they have done a great job on the refurb. It's a good 20/30 minute walk into town but you can get taxis or a bus.
Infiniti which is in a simila location never stayed here but does have good reviews on trip advisor and I've herd is now naturist all year.
There is a small complex near the centre of town can't remember the name think it is Dutch owned and it is also clothing optional with about 6 small villas and a pool with terrace.
There are place in the south of the island to but we have never been there so can't comment.
Have also herd that Caleta is not naturist friendly like other resorts on the island.

Croatia is wonderful whether you are a naturist or not. Plenty of beaches as well as resorts to visit, and a car not necessary in most places.

Could not agree more Brigitte.Croatia is a wonderful destination for a naturist holiday.Spent two fantastic weeks staying at MONSENA in the then Yugoslavia and also had a brilliant time staying at KOVERSADA going over to VALALTA by boat as well.Excellant for naturism, very friendly people.

We recommend El Portus in south east Spain. It is a naturist resort with adjoining naturist beach. The venue offers camping, self-catering bungalows and self-catering apartments. There are 2 restaurants, 2 swimming pools, spa, gym and a small shop on the site. The nearest town is just 20mins drive away with the city of Cartagena only 30mins drive from El Portus. The whole area is steeped in Roman history with a major excavation of a Roman Amphitheater right in the business section of Cartagena. El Portus boasts that it is one of the favoured destinations for the annual British Naturism Group holidays.
We keep our caravan at El Portus and take our regular annual nakation there. We find it very relaxing and laid-back.
