We stayed in Kos town a few years ago and we hired a car.  The only official beach then was Kardemana which was simply awful.  Our favourite was Tigaki though there are a number of  other beaches along the south coast (Magic/Exotic) which were good as well.  You do need transport to get around effectively.  Like most Greek Islands there are places off the well trodden track where you can go nude without any problems.  If the beach is quiet, even with the odd textile, nudity is usually OK with discretion.  Tigaki and Magic/Exotic had a mix of textiles and nudists who shared the space happily including couples where only one partner was nude.  When in the Greek Islands check out the Captain Barefoot's guide and print out the section for the area you are visiting but remember places can change and not everywhere is listed.

Just come back from Tigaki, Lovely naturist beach could walk about 1/2 hour naked in a circle around back of dunes and along water's edge. 🙂

Some day's the wind did pick up in the afternoon's. Glad we took our beach tent as advised on other reviews.
Very Hot and tent did come in handy also as shade.

Hi, we're going back to Tigaki in mid-September.  It was our first naturist experience and we feel that we owe it something!

We hired push-bikes to get about, including going to Kos town.  Limited though our experience is we can't fault it, and with direct flights from Gatwick it all seemed easy-peasy.

Our favourite place...we will be there!

I stay at Miros, which is at the other end of the town from the beach, though its only a ten minutes walk or so. This year I'll be rocking a traditional lightweight windbreak as an alternative to beach shelters that heat up inside and are not very comfortable to shelter in. Its bright green if you want to keep a look out for it.

Our favourite place is the zorbas beach hotel.
This year things have changed, like most of Kos, the beach was clothing optional but not the hotel.
Sometime since our last visit (2009) a big storm has washed away the beach, and some of the road.
The hotel, as usual is still beautiful and the service and food is awesome but obviously no longer able to be naked.
Walked up to tingaki main beach a few times though!
Will still go back there tomorrow if I had chance  8)

I first stayed at Miros, which is five minutes walk up from Zorbas, in 2010. (Its the white buildings set back from the road on the bend with the red streetlamp). The beach along that stretch was the same size as it was now. A bad winter storm in 2009 washed most of it away. One the next winter took most of the road out. The owner and the then manager went to open up the apartments in mid-April and couldn't get along to them. A lot of the land along that stretch didn't exist before the earthquake in the 1930's and erosion is a constant problem.
The place shuts down so completely in winter, that people hardly ever use the coast road. Take a look at Tigaki on Streetview, it was surveyed during the winter and the place looks like a ghostown.
I never knew the beach along at Zorbas was ever CO. The next beach towards Kos Town,  past the Byron apartments is suitable and does get used in a small way ,especially in low season. In fact the coast along towards Lambi is pretty deserted, apart from the two big hotel complexes. I imagine it would be possible to be naked along there, again especially in low season.

Ha ha, the red street lamp was our focal point when walking back from town to show we were half way back.
The first time we went to zorbas we asked the manager about the beaches, he replied that most of the beaches in Kos were CO. Although not official, no one minds, and the fact that the clientele are predominantly german helps!

Its one of our favourite places as well. Was there last 2 weeks in Sept 2014. We stay at Tingkaki and its about a 25 min walk to the nude beach. Some days can be quite windy so its best if you have a small tent. You can walk quite a long way along the beach, it also has small dunes at the back where a bit of shelter can be had. We also hired a car and visited Magic beach which is also lovely, beds and brolly to hire if you want some comfort. Have already booked for next year.

There now follows some brutally honest observations about Tingaki dating from September 2014:

The pavements in the town are cracked in places.  For some of us this only adds to the charm of not being over-developed...

Work has stopped on one new apartment block.  More charm....

The down-at-heel feel of the place is charming.

Goats grazing on unused development sites say nothing but charm to me.  When these sites are right in the middle of the town, first our thoughts turn to buying them up, to make a killing, then we say to ourselves, "No, leave them alone, we like grazing goats more...

As for the naturist beach, to the left when looking seaward, it's full of charm.
Backed by a nature reserve, where we can roam freely for about a mile, and where the sky is big beyond the biggest bigness, what is there not to like?

The odd (i.e. occasional) homosexual activity in the dunes is discreet enough.  Just look away if it's not your thing.  There's plenty of space to give it a wide berth...

There aren't enough textiles to worry about, if worrying about them you do.  They walk along the shoreline en route to their distant resort.  If anything, they add to the charm of a relaxed beach...

If you're a genuine naturist this is where to bare your butt.
