My understanding is that there are no naturists/clothes optional beaches on Fuerteventura as it is illegal to be naked in public, however the authorities turn a blind eye to it as it would seriously affect the tourist trade from Germany.

yep - nudity is basically not illegal in Spain but it's considered very rude to be naked in towns & beaches in front of hotels - but you have to cover up if asked by police

I really should have been born on a tropical island
