The beach is still great Phil with plenty of people using it. Spent a lovely relaxed afternoon there on sunday. Shame the traffic getting out of portsmouth ruined the relaxed feeling lol
I went down there yesterday. This is my favourite beach along the south coast by far. Its just a pity that its a 120 mile roundtrip for me. And yes, the traffic through Milton especially is ridiculous. There is a way though the backstreets for the part from A2030, but the last bit is sit and wait
I love Eastney beach - it was there I had my introduction into public nudity on a beach. Long Live Eastney!!
A great little beach and well worth a visit 🙂 Always I've always found friendly people there that make you feel welcome.
we're going to give it a try next summer (please God let it be so) as its a lot nearer than studland for us.
someone gonna have to send me map.....gigged in winchester and drove to find the beach to rekky for this year....never found the beach perhaps due to the rain and gale force wind....found a nice cafe round the corner for breakfast then headed home...not put me off though
Think a map/ directions are the only way you're going to spot a British naturist beach at this time of year. 🙂 😀 8)

Try the CO Beaches map on this site, you can find the link on the right hand side of the Home page.
Eastney Beach is SE of Portsmouth.
Steve
The postcode is PO4 9LJ, fort cumberland road. When you go into the road look for the carpark on your right, park there and walk towards the closed down ex military building, the beach entrance runs beside there. At the beach turn left.
This closed down ex-military buliding, it wouldn't be the Royal Marines Museum (ex-Eastney barracks) with it's flanking forts on the seafront ?
No its NOT the Royal Marines Museum which is very much still open to visitors. The ex military referred to is fact Fraser Range which was MOD and then privatised and taken over by Quinetiq.

No - thats slightly closer to Portsmouth - Its the old Frazer building I believe
Sorry I failed to note 'Fort Cumberland Road' in earlier post, of course that old rifle range near Melville Rd looks like it's a camping site now.
By Fraser I take it you mean the complex next to Fort Cumberland partly red brick one of which backs the beach.
We visit Eastney often in the summer, usually taking a little picnic with us. On the last few occasions a nippy wind from the west has shortened our visit so this year we have invested in a wind-break, we just need some sun now! Watch out for us with our Orange BN towels if you are down there and come and say hello!
