Chanel 4..now!...(9pm)..''Digging for Britain''...Monknash going to get a visit in this programme...at the bottom of the Cwm, just before you go toward the unofficial naturist part is an ancient burial ground slowly being exposed by coastal erosion...I have checked this out a couple of times while on naked walks...fascinating to now see it on tv !!...I have come to really enjoy and appreciate this place...I thoroughly recommend you put it on your 'to visit ' list for next year!

Had a lovely day there yesterday.Warm sun despite chilly air and no wind.I did encounter a hazard I'd not met before, frost on the pebbles above the water line!! They made traversing that part of the beach very slippery!!

Once past that it was kit off and away to go. Fab walk across both beaches with breaks for a tea and a snack. Then back to the rocks for more sun and enjoying the beach and the very lively surf. Then a cliff top walk back to the start.

Next, on to Lantwit Major for the first 'Nudie Dudie' swim of the year and a first for me too! Lovely bunch of people and a social beer in the pub after.
If you've not been there before do try it... third Sunday of the month...and the pool was surprisingly warm !..Never had a January day quite like it...wonderful!!

Had to get in a quick walk down here today to keep up my record of at least one naked walk a month for the past 2 years or more as Feb weather has been so bad.  Parked in the farmers field down from the plough where there was only one other car and made my way down the road, stripped off by the gate and strolled down to the beach, trees kept the wind off and it was quite pleasant, only went down to the beach for a few minutes before walking back the same way, didn't bump into anyone and put my clothes on before heading back to car, felt great to get out and hope it won't be long before the next time.

Well done for sticking to your 'challenge' ! Like you I am aiming to do the same.

I had a nice day in Jan (19th), weather was sunny and warm out of the wind...had a great walk along the beaches followed by a swim with the 'Nudie Dudies' at Lantwit leisure centre...Not such a good day Feb 7th as it was cold, windy and some rain.I managed to walk from Southerndown end to the middle rocks. The wind chill was significant but felt good for doing it -This was just prior to storm Ciara hitting us!!... So, decided to try and have another go Friday just gone, forecast predicted 9/10 C but windy. Got to the car park and the van decided to stop selecting gears!!!..Went nowhere! Waited for AA to arrive, effect a temporary repair and with trepidation, headed back home!!..one very frustrated naturist!!

Don't see another opportunity to get back down there now so roll on March 👍 👍

You are brave, Cian.

I never dared to walk naked between the gate and the beach. In the summer there are always people walking near the stream, often families with children.

But with time I get braver, so perhaps this summer 😀  .

(Recently I dared to walk naked on the hill, the one on the left as you reach the beach).

I too walked from this end a couple of weeks ago but didn't derobe until on the beach. Did you meet any people on the hill ( called Witches point ) before going onto the beach?

@sunchaser2

During winter there are less people, obviously. I didn't meet anyone.

BTW, the photo was not taken from witches point, but from Monknash, near the cwm.

I marked it with a black point on the attached map.

Hi Edward,

Ahh...I know where you are. It was the fact that the beach is on the left in the photo so indicating you are looking easterly...you are on the hill looking toward the 'Nash Point' side of the Cwm. I assumed you were looking 'east' from Witches Point ( or thereabouts ) as the vista is similar(ish) when viewed in a photo.

As mentioned in my post, I went from the Southerndown end and despite the fact it was not a great day weather wise, there were quite a number of textiles out and about around the heritage centre, gardens and Dunraven Bay. By the time I got to the Whitmore stairs I had seen only one other person!( textile also!)

I have been tempted to have a naked walk from where your photo was taken at Monknash to Nash point. Is this one you have done? I have read elsewhere that naturists who have explored the Nash point area in summer have not been met favourably by some textiles in that location. I may do it 'disguised' as a textile first and check it out!! 😉

I walked from Monknash towards Nash point many times. It is usually empty, but very exposed to the people who walk on the cliffs.

I never made the last bit for two reasons:

1. The point marked by black on the attached map is very rocky.

2. Nash point is very popular by families. I am a shy person.

BTW, the walk from Monknash towards Nash point is absolutely beautiful. And usually there are even less people there.

Excellent photo Edward, with a gorgeous blue sky, taken when the weather was better! Thanks for the info' about Nash Point too. Am definitely going to walk that way first chance I get.

I understand your wish to avoid contact with people, I am similarly inclined although it is nice to bump into fellow naturists and have a chat, which I have done on a number of occasions and really enjoyed.

I must have a go at cropping a few of my photos and posting them.Have not worked out how to reduce the file size though, they still end up too large to post. Any tips from anyone is most welcome 👍

I use a free download programme called PixResizer. You can reduce the file size, crop, rotate and many other tasks you might find you need - and best of all it is easy to use!

Want to chat? Why not try Naturist Video Chat with Peter & Shiraz Here
