There is a car park just beyond Benar Beach campsite or can turn right and head to seaside estates campsite.
Turn left at the roundabout usually someone there on nice days will cost a few pounds to park on the field.
Approx 15 min walk to naturist section depending how fast you walk.

As stated above, the Seaside estate is the best place to park.  Drive into the estate and when you reach a little mini island there is a building facing you on the right.  This is the main reception where you can get you parking ticket .. only about £3 for the day. Once you have your ticket come out if reception and drive straight down toward the beach and into a small field at the end .. park your car, and follow the path to the beach.  once at the beach turn right and walk for 10-15 mins and you will get to the Naturist section.

One last thing, as there are no facilities on the beach you may want to stop off at the public toilets opposite the entrance to the Seaside estate (they are next to the public car park at Bennar), especially after that three hour drive of yours. 😬

It's a great beach and I can't wait to get back there.

It's worth adding that if you go early in season (I went on the May bank holiday in 2013) you may not have to pay to park, even at the Seaside Estates.

Thanks for the details. Driving from M62 would we head for Barmouth and drive North with the sea on the left? Do we pass any villages near the turn off? Is Seaside Estate after Bennar camp-site? Also If going to the camp-site where do you walk and which direction?

I see what you mean, not a straight forward route for you.  From Barmouth continue on the A496 towards Tal-y-bont, you'll cross a narrow bridge continue on towards Dyffryn Ardudwy.  You need to turn left down Ffordd Benar, you can't miss it as there's a church on the junction. Continue to the end of the lane and either use Dyffrn Seaside Estate or just a bit further down is a pay and display car park.  Once parked up head onto the beach and turn right, keep walking!  The naturist beach has notices at either end so you'll now when you're there, that and the fact that there will probably be naked people :laugh:

Good landmark prior to where you need to turn is Islawrffordd Caravan Park.

You will see Ffordd Benar as your next left.
Benar beach campsite has a naturist section if that is of any help.
When you reach Benar beach campsite if you take the right turn it takes you past Glyn's field on the right and you will arrive at seaside estates.
You can see the sand dunes from either campsite just head to the beach and others have said turn right.
Take note of where you walk out onto the beach as when heading back you may walk too far.

Morfa is down on our list as one of the ( must visit this year ) in all our time as naturists this is one beach we have not visited , we look forward to your views on this area ,

managed to squeeze in an hour last weekend as I was nearby.... really is a nice, relaxed place with great views  🙂

Went last Monday and parked in the Seaside estate field, no charge on a Monday. The walk to the beach is over two dunes of soft sand which I found hard going as I am not as fit as I used to be.

Going again tomorrow, Sunday, but I will park by the toilets as I find it's an easier walk over the boardwalk. Anyone else planning on going tomorrow????

What I did notice that the profile of the beach has changed since the winter storms but still a beautiful beach.

In my experience the profile of the beach changes every year. Sometimes by very little, sometimes so much that large parts are virtually unrecognizable. All part of lifes rich pageant I guess.

Hi all , I  was hoping for a weekend camping at Benar beach site this weekend . Disappointed to see a sign at the entrance saying "2014 proposal , static tourers only" . Not exactly sure what this meant , and nobody around to ask so we headed for Shell Island . ( I had new girlfriend and daughter ,13 yrs in tow , so the FKK part of Benar was not on the cards this weekend) .

We really should have gone to Dyffryn Seaside Estate I think but I was slightly put off by some officiousness on the website , must do this , deposit , book in advance , mustn't do that , etc etc .

Anyway , a word of warning about Shell Island . Whilst a lovely spot , with good access to the beach , the facilities are woeful . Dirty toilets , and I mean really dirty , no paper towels , no toilet paper , only 20 showers to serve a 300 acre site ,overflowing bins , just general lack of care and investment by the management , I'm thankful we were only there for one night .

On the plus side , I got up super early on Sunday morning and had a wonderful hour or so walking as nature intended to the naturist beach ,  had a swim ,  and dried off in the sun on the way back . All before anyone else was awake . True bliss .   

Has anyone stopped at the Naturist section at Benar Beach Campsite this year?

I think it will be OK because I have heard Suntrekers are visiting this year.

Not another heght barrier, what about people touring with camper vans who bring money to the area and need to park.
