Hi
It is quite a drive for us
We tend to go if we are staying at Dilly Dallys, we leave there on Sunday after breakfast and head to Studland if the weather is nice
We mostly use the motorbike so traffic and parking are not problems for us
Natureisum and biking do seem to go well together as you don't need to carry much !

Cheers

you may need to find a spot in the dunes sheltered from the wind - I've done that loads of times even later than this & its fine [you may get a few 'admirers' but they soon go if its obvious you're not interested]

I really should have been born on a tropical island

I'd known of Studland beach for many years, but had never visited until July this year.  It was also the first time that my wife had visited a nudist beach with me, and I was delighted that she felt relaxed enough to remove all her clothes and enjoy the beach.
I was very impressed by the extensive white sand and gently shelving sea floor, so we walked what seemed like ages before getting close to being out of our depth.  The one downside was that our visit was on one of the hottest days of the year - we remembered to put sunscreen on, especially on those delicate bits which don't always see the sun - but we both forgot the tops of our feet.  We paid the price for several days after that.
But it is a lovely location - just wish that we lived nearer so we could visit more often.

Didn't manage to get any beach days this year.  :-[  Tomorrow is October 1st, last time it fell on a Saturday was 2011, a real Indian summer, about 23 or 24C, better than the actual summer that year!  Enjoyed Studland beach then!

They're at their desk - over there!

Ironically Studland is one of the beaches my partner really doesn't want to return to. She prefers quieter beaches where you have room to spread out, breathe and explore, which really isn't the case when we've been to Studland. Also, regrettably it's one of those beaches where you really need to be able to tolerate the weirdos and meerkats, which she's perhaps rightly unable to do. She'd rather be at Morfa Dyffryn or Slapton, where the atmosphere is much more relaxed, peaceful and friendly. In a way, Studland feels like it's a bit too close to London for countryside folks like us.

It's a pity, because I think the National Trust is great for being so welcoming to naturists. Where else in the UK will they bring ice creams in a speedboat to you, without you having to find your clothes?

Living in Poole allows me to visit Studland as often as possible. There are some odd people there, but Brighton beach was way way worse. I'll be at Studland as soon as the weather picks up, ( might be 5 months  :-[) But I'll be there. Hope to see some people from NC there. Maybe something can be organised.

I see Julia Bradbury is doing one of her walks on ITV on Friday at 8pm around Old Harry rocks. There is a picture of her in a listings magazine standing next to the National Trust "Beware Naturists" sign.

Hi Mark
ditto iving in Poole leaves us in a spoilt position, we can get to it relatively easy and we can make that snap decision if the weather is good enough or not.  I definiteluy plan to be there once the season is again upon us, need to get a better tan this year, it will be me and the mountain bike again; might see you there.  who knows

Agree with taking the bike, much easier to park, although carrying your bike gear to the beach is not so good.
