My favourite beach when I lived in cornwall, was Pedn Vounder beach near Porthcurno beach or just below the village of Treen, with reasonable ( compared to Porthcurno) car parking charges and a lovely old st Austell brewery pub for hearty food afterwards. The only problem was the rather steep way down the rocks to the beach which got more challenging after the winter storms!!!
