May have been:

Or British Naturism!

My understanding is that it is the farthest distance from the car parks at each beach entry point and therefore because of the lack of amenities there will also be fewer people to be offended in that area! In other words true beach going people!

Because I do not want to cause any fuss or embarrassment, I do like to do my research via the web. Cannot say who has designated that area as such, but previous posts say that after the seals, heading south along the beach becomes very deserted with each successive groyne you pass!

To me, it’s just being respectful to those that do not understand and appreciate our approach to a “way of life”.

it’s a good half hour to 40 minutes walk north from the dunes car park* at Winterton. But I’m still not aware of any official designation or signage. naturism and skinny dipping does seem to be widely accepted in this area.

*sadly the Dunes Cafe at Winterton dunes car park lost its battle with cliff erosion recently and was demolished before the cliff had the final say. But there’s a nice tea rooms in the village Post Office called Poppy’s and The Fishermen’s Return does great pub meals if you’ve worked up an appetite after a day skinny dipping and hiking naked 😀

Roll on summer.

Be naked- be free

I cannot remember the source of the information, but you could try the following website:

https://www.walkingclub.org.uk/nudist-beach/list.html

All I know is that when I found out about it, I was determined to know exactly where it is, finding out it is actually know as “Winterton Dunes”.

There is no signage as with Studland, etc., but as I have mentioned in another post on NC Forum, it is the furthest point away from the two entrances to this long beach and the amenities, so Families and non-natives will always be closer to the amenities!

On one of my visits, coming back to Horsey Gap, my wife and I, after a quick skinny dip, managed to walk all the way back to groyne 42, before the seals without seeing anyone!

I would also think that British Naturism would also be able to confirm exactly where at:
