So yesterday I posted three pictures of myself an Jo which were hosted on Photobucket. When I returned later I appears I had breached Photobuckets rules and several photos had been replaced with lovely little warning boxes. Fair play, I understand that there have to be rules and if pictures of my naked form breach those then fair enough. My question is though, does anyone know of another site wher I can host naked pictures please?

Yes - Flickr is definitely OK for any naked posts if you mark them as private rather than public.
You get 200 piccies for free and then, unless you open a paid account, only the latest 200 are visible. I am told that the older ones are still stored and re-appear as soon as you pay up.

One other point re Flickr is that if you mark a picture as private it can not be found others by browsing Flickr's website but you can still include it on forums such as this if you want to through the use of the

or send the picture's url to friends who can then view the picture online, but will not be able to browse any other private pictures in your account.

Have fun,

fotki is a similar site to flickr but I think more user friendly at present after using 'free' part about £13 for unlimited access

I have used www.box.net for about 3 years, mainly as a backup. You get 1GB of storage free.

And you can share if you like: Click Here

We now have just over 200Gb of photos, may take some time to upload that lot one thinks. Like the idea of off site storage though just not sure how practical it would be now.

If it is simply secure off-site storage you are after why no just burn them to CD's and store them in a locked cupboard in a detached garage or shed?

Anything that will take out both that and your home is going to have taken you as well so you won't be worried.

I think when it comes to backing up times are as good as ever. I reccomend getting two external hard drives (get usb powered ones as mains ones are a pain) and every month backup to them. synctoy from microsoft is really good for this and makes it easy.
You then can buy a fire safe (Staples do one for £17) and keep one there and one in your car. If you are wanting to keep the data secure you can use Ramora which is free to encrypt it all or winrar to password protect but you have to make sure you use separate to synctoy, not together.

I'm looking for a site where I can store video, mark it private (so it can not be browsed by Joe Soap) but still share it through websites or emails. I can do this with still images in Flickr but not (so far as I can see) with video.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ian.

There is a site called DeviantART.  I was a bit suspicious when I saw the name but don't let the name put you off.  It's for any form of art, including photography.  There are no problems with nudity.  When you upload a photo you have to specify if the photo has mature content or not.  It's free to use and you can pay if you want access to all the features of the site.  The free options are good enough for what I want.
