Personally I have to plan quote far ahead to get a pass out so more notice the better for me.

Would consider booking a day off if it's safer and more likely to happen mid week.

If you're a couple in the Midlands and are under 50...say hi.

Could we (Midlands naturists)  get together for a couple of dates in the summer?

Who's up for it?

I go walking naked regularly in Sherwood forest. I had a 16 mile naked walk today, 10 miles on Tuesday and I met the warden and  couple of guys on Tuesday. The warden knows I walk naked so I just walked up to them and had a chat for about 15 minutes, no one mentioned that I was naked. Today I met a guy out walking his dogs, we had a little chat and he said he had no problem with me being naked. A little later I talked to a couple of bird watchers who said they had seen me naked before and had absolutely no problem with it. If a group of people want a naked walk in Sherwood forest I can let the warden know and if I am available when you want to go I can go with you. I have walks that range from 6 to 20 miles and anything in between.

Parking at Ollerton near Edwinstowe. along the Worksop road about a mile and a half from the roundabout see attachment. You could also park at the Alders pub on the roundabout and walk parallel to the Worksop road. Its better to wait till the bracken has grown because you walk fairly near the road and can be seen easily when there is no bracken.

David,

Is it necessary to let the warden know? Not being critical, just curious as to what arrangements (if any) you made with her when you met.

Have fun,

Ian.

She asked me if I would let her know if there are to be any group walks. If she knows about it she will let anyone who phones her to report naked people know that it is only naturists out walking and they are not doing anything wrong and she will quote the CPS guidlines. She has also said that if anyone tries to cause us trouble she will try to sort it out.
Her phone number is posted at various locations around the site. Much better for her to be dealing with any call instead of the police, its no guarantee of course but I think better than nothing.
For example last week she had a call about a naked guy out walking when the temperature was only about 7 degrees C, the caller wanted to know if there was a mental patient wandering round who had escaped from hospital. She explained it was only the local naturist and told the caller a bit about our way of life and the caller was quite happy and now not concerned if a naked person is seen.
If a walk organiser wants her contact to let her know what's happening I can let her know to expect a call and provide her contact number.

Thank you David,

A perfect response that really underlines the wide benefits of talking to people, and especially people in authority, about naturism.

I rarely have occasion to go past the area these days, but if an opportunity presents itself I will try to get in  a naked walk (and will let the warden know in advance).

Thanks, not only for your reply but also for taking the time and trouble to have the conversations that have lead to this situation.

Have fun,

Ian.

Her name is Chloe Ryder and her mobile is 07718 248953 just let her know you are a naturist mention my name if you wish and let her know you are going for a naturist walk. I have attached a plan showing the area for which she is responsible. Its very easy to achieve a 6 mile walk within this area and you can walk off the paths if you wish to keep away from other people.
For anyone who uses this area please do not just walk up to people naked unless you already know that they are happy about it. Carry a wrap or a bag and hold it in front of you until you are past and I always say hello and if possible pass the time of day for a few minutes and let them know I am a naturist. I am not sure about how the police might respond if someone calls to tell them they have seen someone naked. If you do get arrested stick to your guns that you are a naturist going about your normal business and you have no intention of upsetting anyone. I would never accept a caution.
Remember if you do get arrested even if not charged you will not be able to use the visa waiver programme for America or transit through, and it can be difficult to get a travel visa for other countries.
Have fun and enjoy your walks safely.

Thank you David,

Name and map saved for future reference.

Your advice on approaching people, carrying a cover up etc is all good and entirely consistent with my approach to naturist walking.

Thanks again,

Ian.
