Had a beautiful first walk of the year out in Derbyshire. Went out at 7am and only saw one other person. Ended up doing around 4 miles up in the Hills, saw some amazing views and can't wait to go again! 😊
Sounds like that was a good plan. Generally Sunday afternoons are when you are likely to meet the most other walkers, but it depends where and when. Also "peak dog-walking times", but they can vary. Even in the Lake District there are a few spots I can be confident of meeting very few, if any, other walkers.
Weekdays in term-time are usually safest. Early mornings and late evenings are good if it's warm enough. Surprisingly Saturday evenings can be very quiet.
