Was much quieter Friday afternoon, very few cars parked up. Did see a family walking in the middle of the common, off the beaten paths. Have seen these previously and do not seem to take any notice of my state of undress.
I decided to cut my walk short as the temperature was dropping sharply, I took a short cut through a less trodden path joining the main path after clearing some trees. As I joined the main path there was a young woman jogger stood taking photos of the Kites overhead, she was about 6 foot from the trees I had exited from and out of my line of site till I joined the main path. She had her back to me as I turned the opposite direction and continued my walk. a couple of minutes later I heard her running steps coming up behind me, I stepped to one side expecting her to pass at speed but she did not pass me. As I approached one of the gates I took a right turn to head back to my car the path coincidently turns nearly a 360 for a few yards so adjacent to the previous path I was on. The woman was still there but walking, camera/phone in hand she had stopped running and had been walking about 10 feet behind me for a while. She stopped at the gate and continued to monitor me as I walked off into the distance.
I got to thinking, was she to embarrassed or worried even to jog past me?
Was she in shock from seeing a naked bloke walking his dog?
Did she take the opportunity to film or photograph more than the wildlife?
Did make me smile for a while though and I'd love to know what she was thinking.
Was cold when I returned to my car and the wind chill made it worse, lovely walk though and for the most part deserted.
Hmm, will you appear on the local paper’s website or her Facebook timeline first, I wonder.

Unlikely that it will appear in the local paper, it is not newsworthy round here naked people walking in the forest is a common occurrence. I and 2 other naturist were videoed for several minutes by a cyclist a few days ago. He had the nerve to stop a few yards away and video us. As we passed him I told him not to post on social media with negative comments. I have also had someone put a camera in my face in the recent past and tell me he had video of me and my car number plate and tell me he was going to send it to the police. I just told him to contact the police then and there while I was there, but he would't.
Saw the same jogger today from a distance this time. She has very memorable hair.
At least I haven't put her off jogging alone,
I'm still managing to get out for a walk everyday, I'm off work and the walking keeps me sane. I was out yesterday for 3 hours and the forest was like something from an apocalyptic film. No one around and silent apart from the bird song, the sun was shining and quite warm, I walked for hours and saw no one close up, a couple in the distance occasionally.
The feeling of isolation was quite different to anything I have experienced before even though I regularly walk alone. I walk from home now leaving the car behind, adds another half hour or so on to my walk but the exercise is good .
I could have walked the whole way home naked yesterday, even the bit through the streets it was that quiet. I didn't though, got dressed as I approached the touristy part of the forest even though these were deserted.
I don't think I'm breaking any rules as I'm exercising once a day and in total isolation. Correct me if I'm wrong though, I do argue with my conscience over this.
I cant see that you are putting anyone at risk, I would be doing the same if I were able to get out. Following the full blown kidney removal and catching the virus in intensive care unit, it is unlikely I will be out in the next month or so. I am glad you are still enjoying it although I know what you mean about it being weird when there in no one around.
Hope everything works out for you following your opp. Thought it strange I'd not caught site of you these past few weeks. I'm doing enough walking for the both of us while I'm off.
Take care of your self.
Thank you I have just heard that my staples and catheter will be taken out on Friday.
I'm still getting out every day, 3 and a half hours yesterday in the sunshine it was great.
I have noticed that there are more and more people out walking that you would not normally expect to see walking in the wilds. Yesterday there was a bunch of youths playing football while walking through the common, the warden was out and keeping an eye on them but didn't appear to chastise them from what I could see.
There are an increasing number of families on push bikes riding the perimeter of the common and several young couples wandering about, all of which are, I suppose just passing the time.
I did have a strange one on Tuesday. I was heading back towards my car when a couple of heads came into view over the brow of a hill, I was approaching a junction with another path so instinctively decided to take it and avoid the on coming couple, this path veered off at 45 degrees to the one they were on. The female of the couple started to head straight at me face scowling, hands on hips. She was unable to make it all the way to me as the heather was quite thick and there was no path through it, she stood there face like thunder glaring at me I couldn't hear if she said anything from where I was but I wouldn't have been surprised given her body language. The male of the couple was stood in a manner that suggested he was saying "come on leave him alone". Not wanting a confrontation I carried on towards my car. I was on my way home anyway. As I reached a line of trees where I was less visible I glanced to see this female still stood hands on hips staring in my direction obviously annoyed. I'm assuming that these are not regular walkers but just exercising because the government says they can. I assume this because otherwise I would have thought they would have seen naturists before in this area, given how many there are. It did spoil an otherwise enjoyable day for me but I suppose we can expect the odd one now and again.
Yesterday I came across a young couple going at it under some trees. I quietly walked past, don't think they even saw me.
Unfortunately there are likely to be more people like her in the near future. I wish I could get out, I would love to have the chance to try and talk to her.
Its very unusual to find anyone at it in the area. I have chanced across it once or twice. Lets hope its not going to become a regular occurrence and spoil it for us.
Glad you are able to make the most of this lovely weather, I am hoping I will be able to get out there in the next couple of weeks if the weather continues.
I’ve found the usual walks populated with all sorts of people who’ve never been there before. Can’t blame them, but I find myself feeling resentful that they’re invading “my” stamping grounds.

Dutifully doing their one hour of outside exercise per day because the government told them to? 🙂
I can only really get out at weekends, but I agree there are more outside than before. I think it's because they'd normally be driving somewhere distant, but are now looking closer to home. Maybe.
Yes, more than ever in some places. Round by the pumping station earlier this week it was like Asda car park. Yesterday not so busy.
Where you park was normal yesterday, about 2 cars when I went out 4pm about 6 on my return, 6.30 pm.
I'm still getting out everyday for two to three hours of walking and it gets busier every day . I rarely meet anyone most days, apart from a couple with a dog that I bump into and have a chat to within 10 minutes of leaving the car.
Yesterday (Saturday) I left the car as usual and bumped into said couple within 5 minutes. 10 minutes later a cyclist came past me from behind, turned to get a good look and then shook his head in a vigorous manner for my benefit until he was out of sight. I thought what's his problem ? he's the one that gets dressed up in lycra to go out in public.
I then had a good hour to myself before another cyclist passed again from behind, he then proceeded to try and take photo's with his phone over his shoulder while getting further into the distance, wonder how they'll turn out.
10 minutes on a cyclist appeared in front of me over the brow of a hill, I cheerfully bid him good afternoon, No response. Then over the hill came his wife pushing her bike, good afternoon she says how are you? hope your enjoying this sunshine. I bid her good afternoon and think to myself how much friendlier she is than her husband.
Another 20 minutes or so to myself. As I enter Budby common from the end nearer Warsop there is no one insight for as far as I can see. Then after about 2 minutes of walking I hear the gate shut again behind me. After a further few minutes I turn right onto another path and the single female that was following behind carries straight on. I circle the wooded area, extending my walk and eventually re-join the path I was originally on, the single female is now in front of me and on the phone. I can hear her saying at the top of her voice, "F*** * if you'd only rung 3 minutes ago I could have shown you a picture of Naked Nigel (a name I assume the locals have given Gildo). Little did she know I was now behind her, I followed her for at least 10 minutes listening to her going on and on. She turned right I went left to see a guy sitting on a bench watching the world go by. I took an adjacent path to avoid passing in front of him. 5 minutes later he passes me on his bike, he must have broke his neck to catch me up, all so that he could shake his head mumbling as he went past.
I then had a pleasant 30 minutes on my own, I cut through some trees and over a style to head back to my car, on the path stood 2 dog walkers passing the time of day I see them both regularly both bid me good afternoon and we past pleasantries as I passed.
So I had quite a busy day yesterday with mixed reactions to my state of undress. I'm off again in a few minutes, bit late today but maybe a bit quieter with luck.
I have also noticed there seems to be quite a bit more litter discarded than normal.
