@tribalbrit

It looks as if you replied to the first post not the last post but I think we knew what you meant.

check out the comments in the Sun. Here is one of them

What the headline should read is, NATURIST RAMBLER DISTURBED BY BIRDWATCHERS A naturist out enjoying the countryside, minding his own business was disturbed by a group of inconsiderate bird watchers who went on to take a photograph of him and contacted a newspaper and also the Police. He was then publicly humiliated by the publication of the material. If you don't want to see something, then don't look and certainly don't take photos. There is nothing unusual about the human body. We all have one and know what they look like. They haven't changed much over the years, certainly not in our lifetime. There is nothing "shocking" or "disturbing" about anyone wishing to take in nature as nature intended. Of course, if we were meant to be naked, we'd have been born like it!

Mostly positive comments I think, apart from the childish ones and the odd Victorian one.

Just can't win, can we?

I must also now give up eating meat and take up yoga according to them.

Weren't many birders out yesterday evening, I only managed a quick hour around the common before diner. Managed to pass seven walkers though. Go figure another day I can be out for 2 or 3 hours and see no one at all.

Now the weathers changed it will all blow over I think. Literally today.

Yes was a great day out. Thanks for taking time to show me round. We went through a few different terrains. From gravel cycle paths to dirt routes. Across the RSPB area where it was a little sandy.

We saw a few people on the walk, all were very pleasant and I think stopping to take the time to talk with them helped.

Started out a little cold but kept up a good pace which kept us warm until the sun decided to come out for the last half of the walk.

Will definitely be going again when time allows.

Thanks David, keep up the good work!

If you're a couple in the Midlands and are under 50...say hi.

Spotted another naturist while out this evening. Not to talk to but gave him a wave across the common.

If you're on here Hi.

Also a convoy of cars driving up the cycle path spoiling my down time and the peace and quiet. Was a lovely night warm, dry and surprisingly quiet.

There will be a naked walk in Sherwood Forest on Sunday at 11 am if anyone would like to join us please let me know. The walk will be about 6 miles unless everyone wants to go a little further. There will be no more than 6 of us walking so its first come first served. Here is the parking place, you have to go down the cycle route towards the Severn Trent building to park. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/53.2253877,-1.0959711/53.2252487,-1.0960012/@53.2254519,-1.0959389,192m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e0

Nice 7 mile walk today with pleasant company, 1 member from this site with 3 others. It was very windy but we stayed in the shelter of the trees so it didn't feel too cold. We met a mixture of cyclists couples, singles, and families with children. Everyone was very friendly, a nice relaxing walk.

@dgildoo

Sounds great.

Hopefully I'll be free for the next one.

Well done as ever!

Not managed to get out Wednesday and Thursday this week do to torrential rain when I returned from work. Thought what the heck today, was spitting when I went out, had to shelter under trees for 5 minutes while it passed then the sun came out and it was glorious, walked a circuit of the common and enjoyed it so much that I turned around and did it again in the opposite direction. Didn't see another person, not even from a distance which is unusual.

I really feel in a much better mood now than I did earlier in the week, I really miss the walks when I can't get out. Lets hope the forecast is right for the weekend.
