I went out yesterday tea time, only had an hour as was going out for a meal later, so thought a quick lap of the common would do. As I entered the common I came across a guy leaning on the gate I was going to pass through he was wearing just a pair shorts, as was I. I thought as I approached, this guy looks like a naturist, flimsy shorts, good sun tan, you get the picture. I spoke as I passed him and climbed the style, he went and sat on a bench few yards away. I proceeded to remove my shorts and carry on my walk, I  was out of sight of him now. As I walked I had cause to turn round and shout the dog as she was lagging behind as she does. The guy had come back into my view and was now naked. I put my arm up and gave him a thumbs up to say "hello same idea here, nice one". My suspicions' were right.

Now if you were that guy, "Hello".

Maybe we should have a pass phrase like in Allo Allo when we suspect we are in a fellow naturists company. I suggest " Hello, the cows are biting their own tales tonight". If not a naturist I will be deemed mentally Ill but if a naturist at least we'd know.

That makes 5 fellow naturists I have met or seen since March.

I will be going out for a naked walk tomorrow (sunday) if anyone would like to join me.

I would but other commitments prevent me from doing so. I end up going out late.

I've just returned, the common was beautiful tonight  it was raining with thunder and lightning but I managed to dodge the worst of it.

Sounds brilliant, I like to he out in thunder storms, if I can keep out of heavy rain.

I was out in the forest last evening when the thunder storm broke. It was torrential I got totally  soaked but it was great, the temperature was a barmy 32 degrees the rain was actually warm as it soaked me. I was out  for about an hour and 45 minutes and I must say it was one of the best things I have experienced in a long time, totally refreshing and invigorating. I only saw one other group of people, a family of four sheltering, unsuccessfully under a tree, I gave them a cheery wave as I passed them in my sodden state. I got to wondering whether they thought, that man is mental or now there's a good idea and stripped off themselves to  keep their clothes dry. I doubt it was the latter, shame though. By the time I returned over the common the rain had stopped and the sun  was shinning again, clouds of steam were rising from the ground like some sort of moonscape, with horns of the cattle protruding from the steam like alien beings. Saw no one else, people don't know what they are missing in the woods and on the common when the weather is changeable. My skin felt tight and cleansed as I dried out, better than any beauty product, I imagine.  No wet clothes for me to dry was an added bonus.

Where have all the Covid ramblers and cyclists gone. I've been out every day this week and can count the number of people I've seen on my fingers. Yesterday I was out for more than two and a half hours and neither saw or heard anyone. 

I realise when it's hot, dog walkers aren't venturing out as I have been leaving my dog at home too but I usually see other walkers and cyclists out and about.

I'm not complaining just wondering, I'm enjoying the solitude, will it last?

@tribalbrit I have been out regularly and over the last week there has hardly been anyone about. I thought it was the hot weather at first but its also been quiet when not so hot. It is still fairly busy at week ends though which is when most of the group walks take place. Still not as busy as during lock down though, thankfully.

I'd say the last week or so lots of people that we're working from home are now back in the office. 

Definitely noticed weekday traffic is busier. Morning and evening commute taking longer.

Same here. During lockdown road traffic was absent and suddenly loads of walkers, joggers and cyclists were invading "our" walking areas. Since offices and shops have reopened the roads have got busier and the walking places have reverted to the regulars. I don't miss the invaders, but I do hanker after the peace and quiet of traffic-reduced roads.

It's bizarre, but when people were explicitly told "you're permitted outside for an hour of exercise" suddenly everyone wanted to be outside for an hour because it's their right to do it!  None of them stopped to think that before Covid-19 it was also their right to go outside, for more than an hour even (shock horror!).  It's the same again now.  Because they can go outside whenever they like, they're actually doing it less often.

........ but to be fair for those who were working and were then furloughed it provided an extra 8-10 hours a day more opportunity. During full time work I often found it difficult to make the time be out and about but whilst furloughed I spent lots of time out an about as rules allowed. Back at work for the majority of the time now it is becoming increasingly difficult to find the spare time. Now it has to be specifically planned.

Same boat as you Andy. I've been back full time since the start of July. Lucky if I get out couple of times a week again. Where's in lockdown... Everyday. 

I'm enjoying the quieter walks every evening. Got caught in the thunder storm again yesterday, not quite as enjoyable as last time, temperature was 17 degrees and not bad if you kept up a pace. Strangely there was no one else to be seen. Was only out for an hour and a half, enjoyable just the same.
