Brilliant walk this.morning with @dgildoo at Sherwood Forest. We walked for about 6 miles. The forecast was completely wrong, but wasn't too cold as we walked at a decent pace. Anyone wanting to walk Naked for the first time, I'd definitely recommend this area.
@bn252525 We had a lovely 6 mile misty naked walk in Sherwood forest with this morning. The forecast said the mist was going to lift by the time we set off and that it would be sunny, but it wasn't to be. It was between 4 and 5 degrees C and it was misty the whole time but there was virtually no wind. We managed to walk at a brisk pace and I wore my gloves and it didn't feel too cold. It was quite busy today despite the weather, we must have passed about a dozen people. Everyone was very pleasant and there were a few jokes about the cold but everyone seemed to be in good spirits this morning. It is a pity that the lock down means we can only meet one person at present but I guess the weather may not be suitable for a while anyway.
I was out in the fog today, something strange walking in the fog I think, It was also dark when I returned to the car which made for an even stranger walk, good job I know the area well, if someone new to the area attempted the walk I did today they may well have got lost and walked in circles for sometime. Bloody sheep gave me start though haven't seen them before this year.
Was a bit chilly but not to bad, I managed a couple of hours and saw no one, just as I like it.
Didn't get out until 4.30 pm today, it was already getting dark and a mist was lingering around. I found I actually enjoy walking at dusk and with the mist rolling down into the dips it's rather picturesque the temperature was a barmy 12 degrees. Was out for just over an hour today, loved it.
Difficult to see the dog though, even with her lit collar.
If you are going to walk in the mist and dark please wear a head torch with full batteries. Some head torches are simply a torch can do SOS. Head torches cost peanuts and may save your life or someone else's.
it was a balmy 14 degrees C today when I went out for a 6 mile naked walk in Sherwood Forest. There was virtually no wind and the sunshine kept peeping though, it was lovely. I met about 8 people excluding the dozen or so old ladies who were all walking together breaking the current rules. The elderly ladies told me they were a walking group and they were all very friendly, I didn't say anything about them breaking the rules, they looked old enough to know what they were doing (even though they might have risked passing the virus on to their grandchildren ). I think some older people have decided what is the point of living if you are not living. Everyone else was very friendly and I met a guy who I have met regularly over the years just as he was talking to someone else. He just greeted me as usual and the couple talking with him just smiled and said hello.
I have had a lovely 7 mile naked walk in Sherwood Forest today with another naturist. Part way out we bumped into another naturist making the most of the mild temperature of 14 degrees C. There were a few people out today and everyone was very pleasant except for one guy with a woman who informed us that it was illegal be walking naked. I told him several naturists walk the area and if he was a regular visitor he would have met some of them before. He said he walked there regularly and had never seen anyone and continued to insist that it was illegal. At this stage I just told him to ring the police and they would tell him it was perfectly lawful to walk while naked. He said he would ring the police and I hope he does.
@tribalbrit She did't seem bothered, couldn't take her eyes off us.
@dgildoo that's what I mean, these guy stick up for their wives/partners but in reality it's the men that have the problem.
Took the motor home out for half hour today to put some life in the battery etc. As I returned home drove past the parking area on Swinecoat Road, Budby. I'm not joking there were at least 80 cars parked up, on both sides of the road. I could only just get through in the motor home, single file only.
Later I took the dog out, 3.30 ish, parked up at the water works Budby, 30 + cars parked up. Lock down???? what lock down? Edwinstowe High Street was the busiest I've seen it in a long time.
At least some one had a laugh as I past by a group of about 8 as they walked over the common, I could hear them laughing for a while after I past them. No social distancing . Bet they didn't expect to see a naked bloke walking his dog when they left home.
Same down the road at Sherwood Pines this morning - snided out. Social distancing??? what social distancing?
unbelievable, this lock down is costing the country a fortune and many are ignoring it totally.
According to FB the ones on Swinecoat Road have all had parking tickets. To right too, idiots for more reason than one
Today, and not very far away, the country estate I work had numbers visiting comparable with the summer holidays, loads of different families meeting up, it's like the one person rule (outside bubbles) just isn't a thing.
For us, we're treating ourselves to a short drive tomorrow and going for a birdwatch at Budby. 7C naked isn't really for me, though.
