I swear it was lighter later today, wishful thinking perhaps.
Sunset has been getting later for the last 10 days and the latest sunrise is scheduled for 30th December this year.

Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.

@tribalbritYes I know what you mean, I like to wait until there is a little sunshine during the winter. Going out on very dull cold days leaves me feeling not so comfortable. As you say, don't know why though
I find I am not quite as comfortable with being seen in the winter as I am in the warmer months. Not sure why, perhaps I'm frightened of being reported for being insane. Do others think the same?
I'm sorry this doesn't help to allay your anxiety but you probably feel that way because yeah, it's a reasonable conclusion for some people to arrive at when they see a naked person in cold weather, and their concern is actually well-intentioned.
On the positive side, I suppose with the work David has put in with the local police, at least they might ask the witness... well, was he just walking around naked? Before they send the helicopter!
@the-tibetan-hat I don't think the police are likely to roll up. They know from me that I and others walk naked during the winter. But it is true some people must just think we are bonkers. On the other hand, some are intrigued and some have commented on how brave I am to be out in the cold weather. I never could understand why they think it is brave.
In the middle of summer when textiles see me naked I always feel that some are envious whilst I must confess that being seen out walking naked when they are all wrapped up does give a different sort of reaction. That difference makes me feel less comfortable.
Only happy when naked
It does cross my mind every so often, more as a giggle than a concern though. Just thinking how you would explain walking naked in sub zero temperatures
@hillwalker
Concern was the wrong word, your right. Perhaps more aware would be more apt.
Bloody cold out there today as the freezing mist rolled in.
I spoke too soon. There was a hard frost on the hills this morning and the first sub zero day. Lovely and bracing
At this time of year there seems to be a correlation between the ambient temperature and wind speed. The warmer it is, the greater the wind speed and therefore the wind chill factor. At low temperature, 2c is not that different to minus 2c.
It was a cold walk this morning. The north wind took the temperature way down in places.
I was out walking naked today, there was snow on the ground and the paths and pools were frozen solid. Was out for an hour just before dusk the moon was full,( I think.) It lit up the snow beautifully as I walked all the cares and woes of these strange times disappeared.
I didn't set out to get naked today as it was hovering around 0 degrees but as ever I cant resist it.
I was out on Christmas Day and also Boxing Day. It never ceases to amaze me how gangs of people populate the forest even when we are supposed to be social distancing. Cars parked illegally everywhere.
It was a beautiful day. , minus 3c according to the forecast but a sheltered walk thanks to the route i chose. Plenty of deer about. Should be the same tomorrow.
Started the year with a naked walk in Sherwood Forest yesterday, about 4 degrees, not to cold but a little breezy. Plenty of people about as normal but managed to avoid them using the less trodden paths
Did this last New Years Day too and set myself the challenge of walking naked every day of the year. I missed about 25 days, due to dark nights or torrential rain.
Will try again this year and see if I can better this.
Anyone else out this time of year or is it just Hilwalker, Gildo and myself that are not quite totally sane?
@tribalbrit a bit too.cold for me at the minute. Once it warms up again I'll be stripping off and getting my walking boots ready.
Might be tougher to crack this year. Caught in the snow today, bloody cold and wet.
