Gildo, have you been out lately, to the west of the cycle route near budby water works?

The forestry workers have decimated the area, my dog disappeared in a 4 foot deep tyre track today, it's not a nice place to walk and impassable in places. I know they have a job to do but!

Hope it improves as the weather does.

@tribalbrit no i haven't been there lately. It makes me so sad when I see this work taking place especially at this time of year when the machinery churns everything up. It is only in the last 3 years that the forest has been attacked like this. It seems totally unnecessary to me, I have lived here all of my life and i have never seen anything like it in the past. I will have to go and have a look.

@dgildoo. Your right I've been walking here for 40 years and never known it like this. It's a mess. It's as if the guy driving the tree removal machine enjoys ploughing up the area. Let me know your thoughts . I challenge you to walk through without breaking something. Walk up from the pumping station turn right at tha first cross roads, take the first left where the path used to be and then try and get back to the cycle path where the first gate on to the common is. Take care and wear boots.

@bn252525

I walk the Sidlaws, Ochils and some Munros naked. I walk the Sidlaws naked all year round as they are only 250m high. Robt51 also walks naked on the hills.

Here's the proof that I've gone mad. 3 o'clock this afternoon, the snow was coming down, I was out with the dog, the place was deserted  had not seen anyone for a couple of hours and couldn't resist stripping off. I stashed my cloths, there were many of them and off I set. About an hours naked walk in the snow. I was pleased the common was deserted if I'd met someone I don't know what I would have done, they'd think I was insane, I do, did see another dog walker about 150 metres away but I changed direction to avoid them.

It was wet but not to cold, warmer than some walks I have had recently.

It's not the best photo, think the tree my phone was in moved. Anyone else out in the snow?

@tribalbrit Well done. I wasn't out in the forest today but I have done it in the snow in the past. It feels great. I was out in the garden naked building a snowman with my granddaughter today she is home schooling with us.

It was enough just going out today for a short run over my local hill, barefoot with shorts, polo shirt and some woollen warmers for my fore-arms as my hands and wrists can suffer. Even in full sun the ground was barely thawing, mostly place remaining very frozen with a thin covering of snow.

Tread lightly upon the earth

@skidbladnir

I went up the hills this morning. Visibility poor, 8-12 inches snow and minus 1c.. On my way back I bumped into two slightly lost hillwalkers. I gave them directions and showed them the way. Oddly enough, when you are lost on the hills, you don't care if the person rescuing you is naked or not

They probably walked off muttering “We can’t tell anyone, they’ll never believe us ...” 😀
