If this is mischief by objectors to naturism as I believe it to be. Avoiding the area is exactly the reaction they are looking for.
I for one will carry on walking my dog every day as I do. I will also keep a closer eye out for untoward behaviour of others.
Having said that I am going away next week and part of the next so I too will be avoiding the area, all be it a coincidence. I am hoping to get some walking in North Yorkshire though.
- Family's going to the site for leisure are being exposed to these people.
- This site has regular use from schools taking children to learn about the major oak and Robin Hood they could be at risk of witnessing this exposure.
Oh dear, the old "but what about the children?" gambit!

Perfectly valid if you explain how children are harmed by knowing what people look like.

Do not do unto others as you would that they should do unto you. Their tastes may not be the same.

Just got back, nothing out of the ordinary to report.
Did get caught in a shower though, 7 degrees and rain. Must be mad, then the sun came out while it was raining and it was quite nice if a bit chilly. Saw a lady I speak to with two collies as it was raining, gave her a wave as we were a few yards apart. She waved and shouted, "now I know your bloody mad" can't argue with that.
Fair enough. For me it's the same reason I don't really go to Studland* and would never do Brighton beach, however much I know I'm doing nothing wrong the major element of being carefree is tainted by the apparent misbehaviour of others, I just don't like to be in a place where I have to think about that stuff even in the slightest bit. Until this blows over, I've got some of my own places. Not that I don't appreciate the work put in by @dgildoo.
The quote about school visits, are there really naked walkers using the Major Oak side of the reserve?
*I know Studland is generally an okay place, just some of the antics I've personally seen were off-putting to myself and my partner.

No
Completed a job I started 11th January today, always a nice feeling. Got home early, quick shower and sat on the back garden with a cup of tea in the sunshine. Thought to myself this weather is to good to be sat here, slipped on a pair of shorts and a tee shirt and headed for the forest. Car thermometer read 13 degrees as I pulled off my drive, 4 minute later pulled up at Budby Pumping Station, thermometer read 3 degrees and there were half inch diameter hail stones bouncing off my car. Temperature had dropped 10 degrees in 4 minutes, unbelievable. I sat in car for ten minutes as I could see it was going to pass over. Then off I went, bloody chilly though, on the plus side the few people that were out were heading for home. I walked all the way round the outskirts of the common and it was cold. As I neared my starting point the sun had regained some heat and I sat ten minutes on a tree stump warming myself like a lizard and enjoying the peace. I had warmed up quite considerably so I did a 360 and walked all the way back round the way I had just come in glorious sunshine. One lap of the common suffering from frost bight and then another lap suffering from sun burn. Only in this country can you experience such extremes in such a short space of time. Saw no one.
I was up in the hills this morning in sub zero temperatures and saw that the Grampians are covered in snow.
Never done a naked hike yet. Now on my 'to do' list.
I started one of my walks today after noting a favourable forecast. It was all lies! Had to beat a retreat due to the hailstones.

I sometimes think we should change the old saying to “lies, damned lies and weather forecasts”

I ve just had a fantastic walk to Spurn Point. Walked right to the tip, stripped off and had a beautiful 3 mile walk back along the beach. Long stretch of un spoilt and mostly deserted beach. Absolutely loved it. Only down side, no dogs allowed, perhaps why not to crowded, that and the 6 mile round trip, maybe.
