Saw the dog walker today, I now have reason to believe he lives in Budby village.
@tribalbrit I was thinking about the numpty dog walker . I am kind of lucky I use walking poles 🙂
That should narrow it down a bit, there's what, 10 houses?
We were out there this evening, 4 and a bit miles, saw nobody else at all (not even any naked people - come where are you folks!?). Mild, humid atmosphere, scatterings of small raindrops seeming to hang in the air. Quite nice to walk in. Ours was the only car when we got back to the pumping station.
It's been quiet all week. Bet I've only seen a hand full of people all week.
Well folks, I went out today, about 5.30 pm. As I walked up through the little bit of common that leads up to the gates at Budby I saw the "Woodland W***** ,s dog coming towards me, I thought about altering my route but there's not far you can go off-piste in that area and I thought, why should I? Then I saw him, we met on the narrow path face to face, I held my shorts in front of me, for my own benefit to be fair. I cheerily said "hello"
He said " I'm not being funny pal but I know at least 10 women that have stopped walking around here because of you" I could have fell over. I said "not because of me they haven't" He raised his voice. " YES BECAUSE OF YOU PAL " " I don't think so" I reply. " YES IT IS"
I say " maybe they have heard what you get up to in the woods"
His face was a picture, " WHAT YOU ON ABOUT"?
"I saw what you were doing a few weeks back in the woods, so don't start on me. Get your own house in order, what I'm doing is lawful, what I saw you doing is a criminal offence so re-think what your having a go at me for PAL"!
I had to start walking away then because his three dogs were starting to have a go at my dog, probably due to his raised voice.
As I walked away he starts shouting again. I turn back and ask him if he's seen the sign on the gate he'd just come through. To which he replies " Just because your well in with Chloe doesn't mean you can do what you want." So he obviously has.
I say " It's not just Chloe, it's the law. Does Chloe know what you get up to in the woods PAL!?
He walks away.
I now know, he looks about mid to late 50's, blonde hair, well weathered face, looks like he works outside look about him. Big arms. About 5 foot 6 inch.
He has a dog called Horace and another called Rex.
Must say it spoilt my walk a little but at least now he knows I know what he gets up to. I always see him in the same area and I have seen him walking up the road from Budby, He has three dogs and always has one or another off the lead. This is what make me believe he lives in Budby village.
Can't believe he had the cheek to have a go at me, knowing what he gets up to.
It’s attack being the best form of defence - get yours in first to deflect the other (the other in this case being you). He might even have convinced himself that he’s the innocent party and it’s everyone else’s fault. Hopefully now you’ve faced him down he’ll be more circumspect in the future.
Noli illegitimi te carborundum
You know, if he hadn't started on me I would have just carried on as normal. If I saw him I'd speak, as I have in the past. We all have our secrets but this is just beyond my believe.
If I see him again, which I'm sure I will I might just get in there first.
Any advise, appriciated.
He knows Chloe, or at least knows who she is - is she the warden? (Am I right in thinking she's on maternity leave?). Therefore he might be known to her. I wonder if it's worth reporting his "activities" to her (or her replacement)?
Already done. I spoke to Gildo when it first happened and he reported it to the RSPB. Couple of days later I saw the relief warden David and spoke to him about it.
Hopefully he will steer clear of me now. I think he must have had quite a shock when I told him I knew of his antics.
I avoided the area I see him in on Sunday, I wasn't in the mood for another confrontation and it might not have ended well.
Yesterday was to wet, lagging it down when I got home so had a rare day without a walk.
This evening was in the garden till 6 then decided to take dog out as temperature had dropped a little.
As I set off I intended avoiding the area again but as I walked I got to thinking why should I try and avoid him, I've done nothing wrong so I carried on as normal. I didn't see him though thankfully and hopefully he'll stay away from me.
Not many other people out again, not seen another naturist for a while now. Is everyone on holiday?
Well, after 10 years of walking Sherwood Forest naked I have never felt so despondent. Was out today minding my own business when two cylists come towards me on an adjacent path. She's at the back and shouts to the fella in the front who hadnt seen me. "Hey look at this dirty c." He then starts. " You dirty f pervert get some clothes on. " both dirty c." On and on, loud.
I walk on. I was just getting over this when I catch sight of another naturist I've met befofe, he was walking at an angle away from me. I thought about catching him up when another guy appears and starts shouting at him, he was to far away to hear though. Thent he starts taking photos or a video how long he was pointing the phone at him.
I decide I've had enough and turn for home, as I near a clearing I see another couple walking towards me. I see them first and slip my shorts on. They see what they think is a naked guy and turn back to hide in the tree line. As I approach they realise I'm partly clothed and carry on their way.
What is it with people?
The first lot wound me up, especially as they sounded like they were from Essex and spelt c*** with an a.
I walk here most days and don't need abuse from some southern tourists. No offence.
Glad I'm going away for a few days.
I'm really sorry to hear that Tribalbrit. I was there today at about 12.30 and had a lovely naked walk for about an hour and saw no one. It just depends when and where you go I suppose
