@the-tibetan-hat

She probably meant groups.

I've spoken to her many times and she never seems bothered by my nudity but does have the odd moan if she has seen groups walking about.

She's even defended me if I have been talking to her and someone has made a lude comment as they have walked past.

Thanks for the support on the cyclist front but that ship has sailed, it's the strange guy with the dogs that unsettles me more than anything. Not seen him for years but now see him two or three times a week.

Be weary of him on your return, I'd avoid him if you can, especially if your partner is with you, there is just something about him. At least I usually see the dogs first as he lets them run amuck with little control and I avoid him if I can. Although it is he that has issues, as you say we are not breaking any laws.

Been out this evening, bit damp and relatively quiet. Did see a couple approaching in my direction but I changed course and turned off to the right.

Must say I'm not as relaxed as I once was walking on the common, not sure which un-nerves me the most, the recent press attention or the thought of meeting the pervert again.

Nice walk though after a busy day.

Had a 7.5 naked walk in Sherwood forest this afternoon in the sunshine. Budby South Forest was virtually deserted, I only met 1 couple there. In the area that is not managed by the RSPB I met 3 other couples and about 3 different cyclists. Everyone was very pleasant and smiley except for one couple who just stood to one side for me to pass and din't say anything as I bid them a good afternoon.

Was up there this evening ourselves, only time for a quick loop of the common. Fairly quiet and any concerns about recent (non-)events soon melted away in the late sunshine.

Saw the fella with the dogs @tribalbrit has mentioned a few times. First time I've come across the chap, with no personal history with the guy we shared a friendly enough hello between him and us (me and my clothed partner), no bother. Also passed a female dog walker who was fine, and late on saw in the distance another naturist with his own clothed female chaperone.

In actually walking the place you'd have no idea about any petition or dodgy reports in the news media.

Didn't see the cows, and with breeding winding down it seemed a bit subdued for wildlife.

The cows are in the middle section only. I too got out but not till late it was 7.30 before I made it and was out for just over an hour. Only saw one guy on a bike, he too was on the middle part, saw him twice in the same place which I though was odd but I think I'm getting paranoid.

The evening sun was great.

I've never walked naked in Budby yet, but re not carrying anything - what I call full nude i.e. no cover-up clothes I do find more liberating, not to deliberately ensure people get a full view, but often with cover-up clothes, I tend to be more on the look out for people and be ready to cover-up. With no such items there is no point constantly checking, if they see you, they will see you, so forget about it and enjoy the walk. I only normally do this when I really don't expect to see anyone at all, but on occasion I come across several people including on one occasion two mums with 5 kids between them (mum why is that man naked - he's just enjoying a nice walk dear) - so far not an issue.

@jmnude Yes I know what you mean it feels much better when you have nothing with you and you know there is no point in worrying about covering up.

The floor of the common was alive today with millions of flying ants, there were swarms in the air too.abaoulutley millions.

I couldn't eat my tea when I got home, I'd eaten so many ants.

Also had to contend with the cows,  why do they always stand in the gate you want to go through?

Must say though much as I don't like the cows I think they are needed, wander off the main paths and many of the smaller ones are almost impassable.

Another lovely quiet walk, only saw one jogger.

I agree, it is amazing how they have kept the undergrowth in check in years previous.

Had an early afternoon double loop of the common today, a few more people around than for my evening walks but no big worries. Saw a group I assume were DofE kids checking their maps at one of the junctions and hung back a while until they moved on, just about made out their giggling. A few other people passed with friendly enough hellos. One woman on a bike gave me the simply cheeriest hello before I'd even managed to speak which was really nice, until her over-excited bulldog jumped up at me and left quite a deep 10 inch long scratch down my leg with its claws. I refer the jury back to my previous statement about dogs being off leads!

Saw my first hobby of the year (kind of late really), and a few small copper butterflies, which are for want of a better word, rather cute as butterflies go.

What was a nice warm breeze turned into a horrible headwind for my bike ride home. I guess you can't have it all your own way.

@tribalbrit I have already let the warden know 2 of them have been taken down and it was not naturists who did it. He said he is going to replace them.

Up there again today, about 9 miles altogether, and hardly saw anyone. Stayed naked a few hundred yards further than I normally do on my way back to the pumping station, only dressing when I could see a group of people making very slow progress as they approachrd from the opposite direction, they'd surely seen me, so was I the reason they hesitated? Having quickly put on my clothes I carried on and in passing found it was two fairly elderly gents and a similar aged woman. They made what seemed to me an extra special deal about telling me what a nice evening it was, very cheerful stuff. Maybe their way of showing understanding? I don't know.

Noticed the missing signs too, just what does this person expect to happen?

Along the cycle path I got within 10 yards of a hare as it nibbled the grass in the middle of the track. Strange how oblivious they can be if you tread softly.
