So, the naughty naturists walking naked through the woods may well come across At Nick's sidekick , complete with birch rod. I think, after this week, there will be a lot of No 10 Downing Street employees on a naked walk of contrition.

It was 6 degrees C this afternoon when I went for a 5 mile naked walk in Sherwood forest. There was wall to wall sunshine and the rays felt really warm on my naked body. It was like walking into a fridge when in the shade as the wind chill was only about 3 degrees C and there was frost on the ground. It was a lovely feeling. The MOD are chopping trees down and excavating earth near cycle track number 9 and it is closed in the vicinity. As parking is now difficult and some areas of the forest are out of bounds due to MOD vehicular access there were very few people about. I didn't actually meet anyone.

Had brief naked mile out there yesterday, 5C but late in the day and as the sun went and the early winds from last night's gales started up I did the next 5 miles clothed. Still I noticed I slipped this one just inside January and intend to count it, with an aim to one naked walk in Sherwood every month this year. Didn't bump into anyone without my clothes this time, and generally it seemed averagely quiet.

One or two spots almost unrecognisable  with the remedial works going on, nothing too muddy though. Really feels like the equivalent of roadworks, mess and inconvenience now will hopefully mean decades of benefit to come once it's all settled in.

A few of the older trees down with the previous night's gales. Pumping Station car park for space, even given it was a Sunday.

Just back from a 5.5 naked walk in Sherwood Forest. It was quite windy but some sunshine and a wind chill of 9 degrees C so it felt ok. There weren't many people about I probably met about a dozen or so and everyone was very pleasant.

On that brief walk last week, yesterday a colleague at work asked me, "was that you up at Budby the other day? I thought it was you."

He must have seen me from afar and mostly likely when I wasn't naked (I was naked long and he didn't refer to it), still it's just a reminder it isn't far at all from home. He's a lovely, chilled out guy, so I'm not concerned for any reason. As quiet as it up there it seems likely I'll eventually properly cross paths with someone I know. Perhaps I'm getting to the age of not caring because it doesn't strike me as a reason to seriously consider not going. Too nice in the summer for that.

@the-tibetan-hat I have been walking the area naked for over 50 years and I have never met anyone that I know from the two closest villages both of which I have lived in. I often meet other naturists that I know but no one from the area I live in.

@the-tibetan-hat

I have met a couple of neighbours out on the hills naked. One I have met up subsequently and walked naked (she was clothed) while showing her some of the more isolated paths. No one has said anything though I am sure that I have been the talk of the steamie

I have met a few people I know while out naked, I live in Edwinstowe so it's bound to happen.

The first guy was a few years back, he was and still is a barman in one of the local pubs I frequent. He has never mentioned the meeting. Actually I have met him twice.

Second guy is the brother of a good friend.

Third time was a woman who's son used to play football with mine.

On several occasions I have recognised someone before they have me and changed course.

Many people assume I am one of the naturists talked about on Budby Common. I neither confirm nor deny the comments if asked. I merely point out that it is perfectly legal and that everyone should try it at least once in their life.

Ticked off February a couple of days ago. 7C, cloudy with a light breeze that just reminded me of itself every so often as we crossed the dips and rises on the heath. About 3 miles was all. No work taking place so all the paths were open again, looks like that might be a bit random though. A few people out but didn't really cross paths with anybody.

Lovely walk this afternoon if you kept out of the wind but in the sun.

Plenty of cars parked up but few people about. Couple of birders and I managed to avoid the pervert with the three dogs.

Nights are drawing out and spring is in the air.

Looks like a few of the naturists signs have gone, maybe a seasonal thing. RSPB not realising some of us are actually quite mad.

Bit chilly out there this afternoon, sun was quite warm when it was out.

They have made quite a mess on the South Common, ripped out mature trees and widened the paths to at least 6 foot , probably with a tracked digger by the look of it, why do they pile the spoil up in heaps instead of levelling it out so not so noticeable?

Only out for an hour very wet under foot and sludgy where the machines have been.

We are just back from 10 days in Lanzarote Charco De polo. it was very windy there and we probably only had about 5 days of intermittent sunshine. At least it was reasonably warm between 17 and 20 degrees C. I have Just been out for a 4.5 naked walk in Sherwood forest. the wind was cold at times but nice in the sunshine. More forest clearance and more mess from it. No frog spawn anywhere, I think the forestry work has upset the froggs, it is usually everywhere by now. I only saw a couple of people. I am hoping it is going to warm up soon so I can arrange some group naked walks.

@dgildoo

My front pond is full of frog spawn so as you say, probably the works have upset the frogs. As frogs go back to the place of birth to spawn as I'm lead to believe so if their habitat has gone what can they do? All in the guise of conservation.

We haven't got any frogspawn in our little garden pond yet.

Just returned from a two hour walk, a beautiful evening and one of those that you can just sense that your the only person out there. The temperature was 15 degrees with a bit of a chilly wind. Temperature dropped as the sun went down but managed to get back to the car without dressing. Didn't see anyone until  I was 50 yards from the car when two cyclists came down the service road, I slowed a little so they could pass but they stopped at the bench so I walked past and gave a cheery "good evening" she turned her back and he just ignored me, ahh well.

Spotted some frog spawn in one of the larger historical tank tracks.
