Think I need to retire, instead of these early evening walks.
Bit nippy out there today, plenty of cars parked up but only saw a couple of birders.
I hope they call the police and are are also told that They were doing something wrong (the cycling where not permitted).
What a beautiful evening it was this evening. The sun was going down but still quite warm. Managed a couple of hours before it totally went down.
I had the forest and common to myself it would seem.
Spring is here at last.. loving it.
I had a lovely 9 mile naked walk today. The weather was perfect. I met about 11 people, One guy on a bike stopped and talked to me for some time. One couples red setter bounded up to me and made a big fuss of me. Dogs like that are a real ice breaker. As I returned to by car I met another naturist returning to his car, he had met another naturist while he was walking. Everyone was very pleasant.
Think my dog is getting fed up of me dragging her out every evening now the sun is shinning.
Up there again this afternoon. Remarkable how warm - almost hot in parts - 17C is when there isn't much of a breeze and full sunshine.
A few walkers and birdwatchers around, absolutely no trouble though, the rangers drove by us too.
Saw two other naturists, one guy I've met and chatted to a few times. The second one we passed twice, first time with his shorts on, the second time with them off. Looked like it was perhaps his first time and he was building confidence. On the second meeting I congratulated him in 'going for it', upon which he very obviously looked my partner up and down - her still dressed - and asked her why she wasn't naked, literally the only thing he said. Not really the done thing if you ask me, maybe it came from the nervous enthusiasm of a newbie, but my general advice would be just... don't, at least not so bluntly as that. She does it when she wants to, and I don't know if he'd have done that if I'd being walking with a clothed male.
Anyway, a fine 5 miles. The best of the wildlife still to wake up.
@the-tibetan-hat Brilliant,. I had a short 4.5 mile walk this evening, No one about but still lovey and warm even at 5 pm.
I was out 4.30 till 6.20. didn't see you.
I parked at pumping station for a change only a couple of other cars there.
@tribalbrit I almost went to pumping station but there was a space on the worksop road just before Budby. I walked mainly round the RSPB reserve.
Damn. I had a plan to walk there yesterday, but got held up, and by the time I was passing it was gone 6 so I missed out. Sorry to have missed you all.
This evening was the best by far. An absolutely beautiful evening, warm no wind and very few people about.
We were out there again too, early in the afternoon and everything was very quiet, a handful of people about. Saw another male naturist I didn't realise.
Noticed quite a lot of oil beetles on the paths today. The females seem to be attracted to the bare sandy parts of the paths and are so swollen with eggs they have absolutely no chance of scuttling away, so it's really important to keep an eye on where you're walking. They're pretty big so easy to avoid stepping on. Sadly we did see a very freshly squashed one and I think that naturist had probably been the one who trod on it.
Oil Beetles? Had never heard of them so looked them up. They prefer to lay their eggs by making nests in hard compacted ground and that is why attracted to paths. I have seen many on paths before but never realised why or what they were.
Not been out for while, fell at work and injured my coccyx, very painful.
Managed a couple of hours this afternoon, few people about but no issues apart from one guy taking picture's, why do they do that?
The gorse is in full flower and full of bees.lots of young rabbits about too.
I see they've erected a new bench where four paths cross, will make for some interesting meetings in the future I imagine.
