Went out for a 5.75 naked walk this morning in the forest. Met a guy just after leaving my car who smiled and said hello. Later on lady with a dog walked towards me, she smiled and said hello. Then met another guy who was also very pleasant. Virtually no one else about. It was about 9 degrees C but felt a little cool in the strong wind at times. Otherwise very pleasant.

Hope you had a good walk how did it go Brian?

Managed an hours walk on Saturday and a couple of hours Sunday evening, Sunday was quite warm even though I didn't return to the car till 7.30 pm.
Only saw one other person from a distance,  blue bell's are coming up and the trees are well on the way to being in leaf.

I went out for a 10 mile naked walk today. Quite a few families about with young children. As I approached them Ijust let them see I was swinging my bag in front of my bits for their benefit and everyone appeared to be quite happy. I met one young guy with a couple of dogs who advised me that it was illegal to be walking naked and I needed to get dressed. He was friendly enough and I stayed naked during the conversation but no matter what I said he would not believe me that it was not illegal. I offered to show him the police guidelines and CPS guidance that I had with me but he didn't want to see it because he was adamant that is is illegal to be naked. There are none so deaf as those who will not listen and none so blind as those who will not look at the evidence. It always amazes me that those who have no idea of the law are so willing to tell others better informed than themselves what to do.

I had a similar conversation in the pub Friday night, a friend of a friend was complaining that her husband had seen a guy walking around the forest naked and that something should be done about it, when I asked why, the law boll**** came out. She would not have it that it's not against the law, it was like banging my head on a wall.
This also lead me to drink more beer.

I only hope the heads-in-the-sands folk you encountered had the sense to do their own research once they got home. It often takes a brave soul to openly admit they got something wrong in front of somone else, especially when they are surrounded by their peers. However, we can but hope that in both cases a sufficient seed of doubt was sown in their minds that they Googled the term 'legality of being naked in public' or something similar and realised it is not an offence to be naked in public.  Better still, that they came across either this site or the BN one and learned something new. Although the immediate outcome for your persuasiveness may have been negative, some good may have arisen in the longer term.

I did tell him which web sites to look at when he got home, I really hope he looks at them. If he discovers that it is not illegal the chances are he will tell other people what he has discovered. This is why I engage with as many people as possible while out walking naked. Little by little bit by bit, progress can be made.

I went for a 14 mile naked walk today in Sherwood Forest, the weather was lovely. There were very few people about, I only met a woman jogger and a guy with 2 dogs. They were both friendly and said hello. Then from a distance of about 50 metres I heard someone shouting at me. I shouted back are you alright. He shouted your bloody naked, its illegal. I shouted back its not illegal look it up on the internet. He shouted it is illegal I shouted back phone the police and ask them, they will tell you its not. He shouted back bloody pervert it is illegal. I just love these people who are so adamant they know for certain something is fact when they know nothing at all. Hopefully he will try to find out and if he does that's another job well done. The weather looks good again for tomorrow (Thursday) so I will be going for another walk somewhere between 9 and 13 miles. I will be setting off between 10 and 11 am. If anyone wants to join me let me know and we can firm up arrangements.

It was like summer today when I went out for a 13 mile walk in Sherwood Forest today. I passed about 5 or 6 birdwatchers who were just sitting on the side of the footpath I was on. None of them ever speak even though I always say hello to them. I have met them several times before. I met a guy with a dog who always stops and talks to me and we had a pleasant chat this morning. I saw 4 or 5 people in front of me at one point but I turned off the path just behind them. I spoke to a lady who I thought had been looking for oil beetles and I asked her if she had found any. She said she wasn't looking for them she was looking for something else. A guy with a dog walked past me and said hello. I saw a cyclist approaching me in the distance and soon recognised him as another naturist I know. He stopped and we had a chat. While talking a couple, male and female cyclists rode past us, the guy said put some clothes on and the lady said I don't want to see that. The cyclist I was talking to said its natural and the lady said not for me. Then I passed 3 bird watchers sat on the path where the others had been this morning, they did say hello to me. This is the last walk for me until next week if the weather is suitable. I have just seen the forecast for the next few days and it looks as if it is going to be a fabulous week end, typical. Can't complain thought I do get out more than most.

The problem i notice is that as soon as the sun comes out, people who dont usually walk come out to play. These people arent aware of nature or naturism. Remember too, that many people are on holiday because of school holidays and Easter.

Nice 6 mile naked walk this afternoon, hardly anyone around. Only met a guy with daughter and dog. both said hello, dog didn't speak though. The guy put the dog on a lead as I approached them, I always think this as a good sign that the person is going to be friendly and I always thank them for doing so.

My first walk in Sherwood Forest today and really my first naturist walk on public land.  A little daunting I might add but I managed maybe 3/4 of a mile before chickening out and donning my clothes nearing a blind bend. I know Budby Forest better now so next time I’ll be better prepared.

Thanks for the offer Gildo I will take you up on that sometime. It’s this thread that inspired me to visit Budby this afternoon and I was half hoping I might bump into one of guys on my visit.
At the moment mid week it can only be spur of the moment visits but hopefully in a few weeks I can arrange something. In the meantime I’ll keep my eye on these threads and may even bump into one of you guys.
