Naturally none of us want to go down the legal route which is why so many of us do hide or try to put something on, its better to avoid this completely or to reduce the risk as much as possible, and that's my point. We all know the issues with 'the naked rambler' AKA Mr Gough but that was mainly because he didn't try to reduce the risk (in a way I understand), but taking walks away from populated areas at times when there shouldn't be children or many people around is showing consideration and also quite clearly shows no intent to shock or cause distress. Naturally there may well be the odd person and its possible they may take offence - but this applies to everything in life.
Thanks for all your replies. I'm working over the weekend but hoping to get another walk in next week.
I had another walk this morning. I was a little later setting out than usual but i decided that as the weather wasn't so nice it would probably be quiet...i didn't see a soul.
gave me the courage to walk some of the potentially busier paths which was nice. the weather was still warm (around 17 degrees) but blustery winds and occasional showers coupled with the slippery conditions underfoot made it even more of an adventure than usual. All in all probably the most enjoyable walk I've had. Even managed to take a profile picture with the timer function on my camera phone 🙂
As a general rule I find weekdays offer better walking prospects as there are fewer people - if any - around than at weekends.

Re walks in not good weather - We (my wife, me and the dog) often go along an old railway line route next to a river - now converted into a path for walks and bikes, often when walking I've thought how great it would be to go without clothes, but its normally quite busy so never had (I have previously stated I normally do walk routes clothes free i.e. nothing to cover up with - but only when I don't expect to see anyone so not to cause offence etc). Anyway since it was raining (light to heavy) I thought this might be a good time to do it - and sure enough didn't see a soul - obviously since it was raining and I was naked - I (and the dog) got a little wet but skin dries very quickly (much quicker than clothes) so not a problem. I often do take pics on various walks and did so on this as well. I didn't do the whole 4 mile route (8 miles there and back) but did about 3 mikes round trip - jogging when not taking pics on the timer (I do have a remote control on my more serious DSLR but its a bit bulky to run with especially since it also needs the proper tripod (falls over with the small one I have for the handy cam I have. I even took some more risky pics at the old station - just outside a house and next to the car park just to get in the signs. All in all a great way to enjoy the rain - another one ticket off my list.
All that walking is not doing you complexion any good I see 😉
well i've had a brilliant couple of days.
Yesterday i had a trip up to Scotland, in the morning I had some enjoyable but somewhat frustrating mountain biking. As it was at a popular trail centre I didn't dare to bare all except for one short secluded stretch...typical then that I didn't see a single soul outside of the actual car park area.
I made up for it in the afternoon with a bit of skinny dipping on the beach near Aberlady (a beautiful area if you've never been).
This morning I had a cracking walk in the Peak District. Not only did i add an extra 1.5 mile loop over the open moors to my usual walk but for the first time I had the nerve to undress as soon I was out of sight of the road (the main path can get quite busy with cyclists during the day). I also held my nerve to remain naked until i was back in sight of the road. Total of about 5 miles naked on a beautiful morning.
well I managed another great walk this morning, just what I needed after a 12 hour night shift. It was 20 degrees at 6am too!
I was extra brave on the return leg of my walk, heading onto what can be a very busy path with some blind bends in it and not getting dressed until I was almost back to the car....just in time too as there was a dog walker just setting off as I reached the car.
It would be interesting to know whereabouts you walked in the Peak District. I'm always looking for new routes up there

Ah, The Manifold Valley an old stomping ground of mine ten years ago. Always found it heaving with Craghoppers (walkers). No matter what time of day. Now back home in Cornwall and walk naked most weeks on Bodmin Moor. Never been troubled by walkers, some have joined our small nudie group for a part of the walk and been very friendly. Hoping to arrange some more naked riding there in the next few weeks.

Very very true but there are good and interesting walks on the high ground on both side of the valley which just requires crossing the main busy path twice for a circular walk.

Hi Davie, Im right on the Northern edge of the peak district. I usually park in the Western most Langsett carpark near to the old Flouch Inn roundabout on the Barnsley to Manchester road. From there i cross the road and follow the main path towards the western tip of Langsett Reservoir. There are numerous paths heading west off this path so I usually do some sort of loop although some of the paths are a little trickier than others.
I shall get my map out and have a look. The White Peak is however more accessible for me.

Careful Woodman - you will make us all jealous again with all those nude horse riding etc activities you do; but please keep telling us all about them ;D
Hi, I'm new here too. I enjoy naked walking along a couple of beaches at Kenfig and Monknash in South Wales. Sometimes my wife will also strip off for the walk too. There are unofficial naturist areas where one can sunbathe (Kenfig is better for this - dry sand). I've had a few odd looks from textiles when walking, but I try to avoid them if I can.
