No, not mad. I was up very early today and dog wanted out. Dark, cold, frost on cars, got to the parkfield where she gets off the lead and finally gave in to the urge I've had for a long time to strip off and walk her round there. Only a 10 minutes stint but didn't feel cold at all.
Rob
Okay so Saturday was cold but still managed a 3/4 of a hour walk naked 2 hours walk in total
Sunday was a little warmer and managed a hour naked and a hour clothed
Just returned today got home at 7.50 pm after 2 hours out walking naked was a lovely feeling today not to cold and deserted, very wet under foot though
I've told myself that I will walk naked at least once a month, it's the second of April and I've been out twice already, I can't seem to get enough, dogs looking fitter too.
Very addictive.

Well done, all this rain should have filled up the little pond that has been dried out for a few years. Rain came a little too late for the frogs though this is the first year they haven't spawned in the dried up pond and this year its filled up.
Very wet from the melting snow, water was actually running down the tracks like a river.

That's why I haven't been out for the last couple of days.
If you are not suffering from hypothermia at the end of your walk, then you’re not mad. You’re just enjoying the outdoors as nature intended, which is why you feel drawn to it, having broken through the shackles of social stigma.
On the other hand, some of us throw ourselves into rivers, lakes and pools, even in winter. This is an activity which often flirts with mild hypothermia, a bad case of the shakes being almost normal! This may well be mad....
In reallity, we learn a lot about ourselves when we gently test our limits. We often find that what conventional society has condemned as mad, stupid or impossible is entirely possible, healthy and gives us a real high.

This is what many have discovered when they started cycling as a means of transportation (even in very bad weather). Exposure to high/low temperatures, rain, wind etc isn't nearly as bad as it looks when you get out there, and somehow makes you feel very much more alive.

I have been out today though for a 5 mile naked walk. Guess what it rained, but it wasn't as cold today as it has been and it was very pleasant. There is a lot of water around and I haven't seen as much water in the little pond for about 9 years. I stood chatting to a guy with a dog for a while and he agreed it was probably that long ago since there was that much water in it. He didn't even seem to notice that I was naked. I crossed his path again later on and he just smiled and waved. The warden and her work group were in the forest as always on Tuesdays. I saw them in the distance but didn't go and talk to them today.
You do not have to be mad, but it helps!
This photos was taken on our Naturist Ramblers walk last year in the New Forest. It was tipping down. On the whole walk we met one person, but we hardly spotted each other as we all had our 'heads down' as we battled through the rain.
The photo has subsequently been titled ' The United Colours of Nat Ram'.
photo reminds me of last year at Fast Rabbit Farm c/o day. my trainers got soaked after my first walk, then the hail came down !
Not quite the same, but several years ago when it was -10'C outside and still some snow about I started to smash up a concrete path clothed with a sledge hammer, naturally hard work and soon removed some clothing but also as I had lost some weight my jeans kept sliding down (very annoying), so decided to just do it nude instead - I wasn't cold at all and also even though the work was heavy going didn't get too hot either.
That said as I moved the bits of broken concrete to the skip at the front of the house (house is in the country) a farmer neighbor appeared as I was throwing the bits in the skip - him naturally in full winter gear and me completely naked except for boots; he wanted to discuss a fence he damaged. I'm sure he thought I was MAD. He did comment aren't you cold - my reply - its hot work smashing concrete. We talked about the fence for a bit, then I went back to work.
Had a naked walk this morning, I set off from home naked and returned home naked, got a little wet from time to time. Met a few people, all said hello and were friendly. One of them was a wood cutter clearing an area of the forest. He was happy to chat for a while. One guy asked if it was warm enough for me and we chatted about all of the water everywhere. I also met the wife of a guy who I saw yesterday when he was on his own, she was with him today, they were both happy to stop for a little chat. I have enclosed a map of the route if anyone is interested. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/2600417647#
Looks like we are walking the same ish routes. I only usually get out at weekends though due to work commitments, I do occasionally have the odd evening walk if I'm not to knacked.
Must be really wet up there now after today, was wet enough on Monday, any wetter and we'll need a boat to get round the common.
