We always set off to the walk wearing the absolute minimum.  When we get to where the walk starts, we’ll put our clothes in a black or dark coloured carrier bag, which is less noticeable than a light coloured bag, which we hide it well away from the path.  Hiding places could be under bushes, in long grass, behind a wall or even up a tree.
As regards valuables, money and phone etc are all left in the van and locked away.
The van key is left with the van in one of the many hiding places like behind the towing eye access flap at the front or rear of the vehicles bumper.  I have wedged the key behind a mud flap, above the under floor spare wheel or water tank.  All these places can be reached easily by crouching down, but it’s obviously done when no one is watching.

Dogs are good at sniffing out clothes let hidden anywhere I usually try to make sure they cant be pulled out by a dog and would prefer somewhere off the ground if possible.

i went to collect a purchase from a local auction yesterday, took the back lanes, passed a millenium wood with an offroad carpark.  on the way back i stopped to have a look... grass bit of carpark next to the gate into the wood.... had a pair of binoculars in the car,  bino case is just large enough for wallet, mobile phone and car keys and the kiniki beach wrap,  all the clothes inc shoes stayed in the car whilst i went for a half hour explore round this small wood.
not often i get to do a completely bare walk from car door to car door.

the auction is fortnightly with viewing on the friday , online bidding over the weekend and collection on the monay/tuesday.... could well become my favourite local auction 😉

I agree dogs are a problem and that why we put our clothes bag up into a tree where possible, especially if there’s a lot of foliage cover like ivy around the tree branches.
That great if there’s a tree handy, but sometime’s all you’ve got is a prickly gorse bush or just long grass in the corner of a field.  I know you can put your gear into a back pack and cart it about with you, but on short walks we liked to go unhindered by not having to carry things.
Louise and I still have slightly fading white lines on our shoulders and the hint of a white square on our backs from where backpacks have prevented sun from tanning our skin.  It’s not a good look.
Some places like Dartmoor, New forest etc it can be so quiet you can literally strip off by your car and set off.  Unfortunately where we live we have to walk or cycle to where we want to go, so we wear minimal clothing so we don’t upset the locals.  When we get to our walk we have to hide our clothes, and as I mentioned in my previous post we use a dark bag which is not so visible, and hide it in the best place we can find.
Its worked well for the last ten or so years, but there’s always a first time for it to go wrong, and that will be an interesting day

Lol.  White lines from straps and a white patch on the back.  I know that one well.  I get laughed at for that.

Funnily enough just last night I decided to leave my shorts and top in the car and started off from where I parked the car. My mobile was tucked into my sock and I just carried my keys, never came across anyone and was able to walk for a good hour - it felt much better too though I think a little risky.

Car keys seem to be a perennial problem so why not carry them on a wristband such as the collar for a small dog.

ive never been confident with keys hanging from something, theres allways the possibility that something will break and they fall off unnoticed .  im much more comfortable with the pocket in a hat or small shoulder /camera bag even the binocular case.

I always carry mine with me in a backpack, with keys, phone, etc...secured in zipped pockets.

Although I don't do too many naked walks in the winter, just at the end of the good weather I needed to get some new shorts and found some loose cotton shorts with a zip pocket for keys etc (bought on line). Although I often walk without any cover-up clothes on the places I know, new walks I often just have shorts in my hand so I can very quickly slip them on if required - these also are quite baggy so simple to get them over shoes / boots. Another reason for them is I have a local wood a few miles away that I run too with the dog lunch time on public road (single track) but once in the wood I then remove any clothes - I do have a place  in the wood where I then leave them, very few people visit the wood.

I take everything with me and leave nothing  anywhere!! A small 'day sack' is all you need if its just clothes like a' Vango 10 stone' or perhaps a 'Vango 20 stone' if you take a flask and some sandwiches' !!

Like most others, I take a very small rucksack, or sometimes a drawstring bag - I have used on of those children's school bag things. I have managed to get it down to a gadget bag by taking the absolute minimum. I have left my stuff on a beach to go for a beach walk unencumbered, on the doubtful theory that people will think I've just gone for a swim. I have thought about leaving my stuff in the car when walking on the South West Coast Path but would want to take keys, phone and small camera - I thought about a wrist wallet.
