Bélézy at the moment with the TV crews!
many years ago we had a 2cv and also Dyane, but there is a car in the picture that I would really like , and that is the Mehari .
I keep saying "one day, one day " lolDick
We also had a Dyane - the 4. The thing I remember about it particularly was that it did not go very well on anything but the lowest grade of petrol.
I always fancied the 4 wheel drive version of the 2CV which I think they called the Sahara and had a second engine in the boot.
I wonder if it was ever put into full production and whether there are any still around.

Apparently, according to Wikipedia, only a few hundreds were manufactured: see http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mod%C3%A8les_et_s%C3%A9ries_limit%C3%A9es_de_la_2CV#La_2CV_4x4_bimoteur
Two engines, of course no boot (the second engine was in it), and a sound level describe by Wikipedia as "unbearable". An unbelievable monster!
According to Wikipedia, their market price is now very high(over 60,000 euros for a recent sale).

In ones youth "unbearable" noise levels are no problem. ;D

When we had our 2CV and we were approaching a steep hill with a sign saying "slow lorries" we always added and 2CVs !Our Dyane had a 602 cc engine , but some had a 435 cc engine if memory serves me well .

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .

Sorry, this is the photo of the 2CVs that I should have posted first, since on it you can see the "coated" 2CV that is going to be driven from Bélézy to Torun in Northern Poland and (hopefully) back.
The 2CV (and the accompanying cars) will drive in easy stages (120 miles seems to be a daily maximum) to join the international meeting of "Friends of the 2CV" in Torun, stopping overnight in naturist clubs on the way and carrying a load of local wine as a goodwill gesture from the club at Bélézy to clubs in Eastern France, Germany, and Poland.
The tour will take place over the end of July and the beginning of August.
Oops, forgot the photo in the previous post 🙁
Bélézy at the moment with the TV crews!
The short programme was shown tonight at 8.30 on the Canal+ channel in a programme called "Le Petit Journal" that gets an average of 1.3 million viewers per night.
Although "Le Petit Journal" is known for its satirical slant, the general approach to naturism was very understanding and they did not use any of the old hackneyed clichés.
I appear in the programme for a short interview. I will try to get hold of the video and of screenshots and post them on NC.
A screenshot of me being interviewed on TV at Bélézy last weekend.
Just to make everyone at home feel better. We arrived at Belezy yesterday to a hot sunny afternoon and were at the pool for a couple of hours. Today? Enormous thunderstorms, torrential rain and around 20 degrees. Just phoned parents in Yorkshire and it's sunny and warm! Typical.
Sorry we'll be missing you. We were at Bélézy until the day before yesterday, and we are not planning to visit again until early July.
It does not often rain in Provence, but when it does... it really does. According to the weather bulletin there may even be some hail today 🙁
Although the weather should get better from Sunday, really hot weather is not planned until the middle of next week. Take hope 😉
Do not miss the farmers' market on Saturday night (from 5.30 pm to 7), the fesival of "La Recampado" on Sunday from about 10 am to late in the afternoon. If you read French see http://www.bedoin.fr/fr/evenement/104928/la-recampado
And of course the market on Monday morning!
Wish we were there.
Get rid of those clouds please - we arrive tomorrow!

Jacques. It's a shame we won't meet - at least not on this trip.
Davie. Not looking too promising for the next couple of days. Are you camping or taking one of the permanent accommodations?
We,re going to be in one of the Nautlhomes.
