A very evocative set of pictures.
We used to use the beach regularly about 25 years ago and very little seems to have changed.
It would have been good to see pictures of the climb down the cliff face, but I know from experience how difficult these can be.
Do they still do parking, teas and ice creams at the farmhouse in summer? We used to pay to park there and then have either ice creams or tea and cakes when we had laboured up from the beach.

Thanks Antonio. I guess that explains why it sounded familiar, I have a friend who is very into Cirque du Soleil so I have probably heard it when drinking beer in his lounge or garden  🙂

Fairlight Glen was the first naturist beach I visited, about 30 years ago now.  It was a glorious day in August when I went and it confirmed my addiction for naturism.  Sadly, I haven't been able to get back there since then - it is a long way from where I live.

I seem to remember there being more sand and less rocks than shown in your pics, but maybe my mind's eye is using rose-tinted glasses!  Also, when I went there were quite a lot of people, most naturists but some not, though it wasn't at all crowded.  Would love to go back one day, before my legs are too old to get me back up the cliff path!

I've been there the once on a very hot day and would recommend it as long as you can do the walk. Being out of the way it did not get any unwanted lookers and there was pleanty of coast line to explore al natural with out really having to worry about passers by.

Fairlight is a delightful beach but some sort of plastic footwear is advisable if you want to swim.  The climb down is easy, with lots of carefully constructed steps but the walk back up is long and hot; next time I'm leaving the bike leathers at home!

Hello, the walk to the beach takes aprox. about 10/15 min down to the beach.
But the most important is the way back. It will take you about double or three times more.

Fairlight is a lovely, cove like beach. It does have one or two passers by, but not many. I agree about the walk back up. However I found the walk down a little more challenging in a couple of places where landslips had occured, and I consider myself relatively agile.

We have not heard any recent reports of the condition of access to Fairlight but when we made a visit late last summer it seemed that the descent was better than for many years.  The local Council do seem to be trying to scare people away from the beach with stories of the "dangerous access".  They have also closed the gap in the fence alongside the top path with a "Beach Closed" notice.  It is very easy to climb over and follow the access path to the cliff descent.  It is a fair walk from the nearest Car Parking in the Country Park through Fairlight Glen and there is talk of parking charges being introduced this summer, so a selection of small change may be a good idea!  There may well be some updated information on the Net as the season progresses.
