Me and Mrs Derby have been to Studland for the first time on 20th Sept and again on 22nd Sept 2010.

We went to see what all the fuss is about, and loved the beach. It did seem odd with all the textile walkers trudging up and down the waters edge at first, but they didn't seem to worry about us naturists.

The only downside is of course all the meerkats, some who were so blatent as to stand within a few feet of ladies just staring......

Genuine naturists on  the beach were lovely and chatted to us, and were very welcoming.

Derby..

They're out there....

I was down at Studland on the 18th, as part of a beach clean.

It had a much better feel about it then than the first time I went two years ago. There could have been the odd meerkat in the dunes, but didn't really notice. I think going in Sep helps.

I agree most genuine naturists there were very welcoming.

....Studland remains our favourite beach, in England at least, despite the sometimes unwanted attention from the meerkats....

Usually a firm request to meekat gawpers to hop-it is effective- they leave with their "tails" between their legs!

Studland is my favourite beach too.  The meerkats can be a bit intrusive but go away if you ask them, so not too much of a problem.

We're hoping to go again this weekend - might be a bit chilly but going to brave it anyway! ;D

Went to Studland in the summer to see for myself. Rained heavily all day so no one around. Guess there's always next year!

Going to have to try this one next year - according the the BN website this seems to be the biggest & best beach in the UK!  On;y every tried Holkham in the UK

Heck of a trek for me though, over in Herts.

Went here for the first time in May and had great fun. Weather was great and beach was packed, despite it being a weekday. The perverts in the dunes really pissed me off though. What's wrong with these people?

Regardless, had a nice lengthy swim in the sea, and enjoyed being on a sandy beach for a change. Will definitely return next spring/summer.

Not offering to hold your hand! My advice is just go there and take your clothes off. Make sure you've passed the "warning" sign about naturists before doing this.

I'd suggest you stay on the beach, away from the dunes, and ignore the "meerkats" up there. They never venture down to the beach with their binoculars in case they get accosted by the NT rangers who try to maintain a family-friendly environment.

Possibly best to wait until the weather improves!

This is my favourite beach too. Great sandy beach in its own right and marvellous that it's nude.

Easy for me to reach too, not having a car. The No 50 bus sails past the queues of cars at the chain ferry! 😉

only been a couple of times, first time it was sunny but soooooo windy, walking up the track i was some way behind a couple who stripped off as soon as they got past the sign, wonderful i thought i did exactly the same, walked to the brow of the path through the dunes and was nearly blown off my feet with the onshore wind, talk about being sandblasted, like being in the canaries again.  It was so windy you couldn't lie on the beach so i found a suitable dip in the dunes, no one around, blue sky above, i could have been there for hours but bloody meerkats.  I was thinking leave me alone, single bloke, doing nothing worth watching if you see what i mean, no interest in anyone else but it felt like i was lying next to the M1.   i stood up at one point wondering why oh why (yes and in doing so i appreciate i momentarily became a meerkat in doing so) and saw loads of them stood around the next dip along in which a couple were entertaining themselves. They weren't there when i arrived.  Happened to me in Ibiza as well.

let's get naked, its fun
