Visited today with the wife and family and walked along to the "naturist" section to the north.  Didn't see one naturist.

I hear some of you shouting "well why didnt you get your kit off", my answer is that to be honest being the only naked guy around when textiles are wandering up and down takes a lot of guts (at least it does for me).

Not writing it off for good but maybe Margate council needs to erect a few signs saying that it is clothes optional or something along those lines.

Hi  sometime a go a guy challenged the council to make it naturist or optional, so instead they put up signs saying naturism forbidden, which were quickly removed by the naturists. I have been many times and there have always plenty of naturists along the dunes as well as textiles perhaps a bit early in the season yet. I shall definitely use it later on May/June onwards perhaps organise a N/C day down there later with some form of recognition of members

I did read on the NUFF website that recently the police have been taking names and addresses of naturists using Botany Bay after they received complaints. This would be a shame if the local authority are going to get heavy handed with naturists. I know it is an unofficial beach but we have used the 'family' beach many times and it have great quality water and the beach does get some of the best weather. We are both looking forward to skinny dip later on in the summer.
