Still love Fraisthorp at Bridlington. Shame it's not official anymore. Park up at farm by the beach. when on beach turn right and walk until you pass the ww2 bunker. Normaly well used by naturists still on Sundays. Be carefull not to go as far as the ditch as this is used by people looking for something less naturist shall we say !!

It may not have the blessings of the local council anymore , but it is still a beach where you can practice naturism. Nudity is not illegal ! !

It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .

Wonderful on an all too rare hot summer day.

Love to pitch a windbreak there and annoy the local council.....

Only downside is the cliff top and 'occasional' pests that habituate it.

100 % agree Brigitte. Always going to be a favourite of ours because it was our first time nude in public.

Hope it's warmer than last year's fun day.

Went to show solidarity and it was a hilarious afternoon of furtively half dressed people cowering behind windbreaks.

My first real naturist experence was at at Frailsthorpe,I went on the train from Manchester to Bridlington,it was around 1992 I think.
I was determined to go to a real nudist beach,at the time I didn't have a car so on the bus at the stop I got comments on alighting....bit I didn't care I was looking forward to going nude for the first time at a beach.
As soon as I got there there were some nuddies there, with all over brown tans...wahayyy 🙂
But the weather was windy and there was no chance to swim in the sea.
But I was glad I made it.
There were people who were there ther who were well dodgy but I met some nice real naturists there, that were genuine,
I went back for 2 more days, but not on the bus.
I walked on the beach from Bridlington,a fair way but not too far.
I've not been back since, and I belive it's no longer a naturist beach.....well not with any hassle...

The fact that it's no longer a naturist beach according to a 'few' people makes no difference.

It is a naturist beach if you are there and naked!

Blackpool beach would be a naturist beach if I was nude on it but I don't really want to be the only one there and I would think getting arrested might ruin the day!!!!!
I'm all for free range naturism but being in a situation where
there I can cause offence is somthing to stay clear of.
I live in manchester so any free beach is miles away, some time I might visit Morfa but on the way it is less hassle to visit a club....

There's a big difference between Blackpool beach which is not and has never been used by naturists, and Fraisthorpe which was and still is. Public nudity is not illegal. You will not be arrested...certainly not now, since the infamous helicopter raid of 2003 which upset a lot of locals because of the waste of money. They couldn't give a toss about naturism on the beach or whether you are there or not.

The geography of it means if you are near the cliffs behind a windbreak you will not be seen by any dog walkers or others on the shoreline unless they actually choose to come and have a look which they have never done so to us, and it would be their problem anyway.

And it'd be nice to be there right now with this weather instead of steamingly overheatededly having to work darn sarf all month which is why it's taken forever to get a reply back on here! ::)

I shall be writing a PM asking where the first installment is of that big fat cheque to underwrite that new naturist complex dream as discussed in great detail at the sauna.... ;D

*For others info, on 'A Place in The Sun Home or Away' they showed an exceptionally BIG house with 11 bedrooms, on the coast, and with a pool in Croatia, in itself that's remarkable, as the locals don't see the point in a pool when you've got the Adriatic, and that set the gears in my brain grinding. The only drawback is that I need £1.7million.

Only drawback.... ::)

Back to the point...if we only went where it was Officially Official we'd never go anywhere. With the price of petrol as it is, can hardly hurtle down the backways of Norfolk for 3/4 hours to Holkham every time the sun comes out.
