Nuff has a note added that in March there was a notice at the Car Park stating No naturist activities. Presumably on the beach, not in the car park! Anyone been since then or can comment?
The notice is at the car park near to Saunton Sands hotel.
There was at one time a similarly worded notice in the car park halfway along the burrows.
I have been to Saunton in the last month, and a very pleasant day it was.
On my walk back from the beach to the car park across the burrows, still naked, I encountered one of the wardens driving in his Land Rover, and he took no obvious notice of me.
There does not appear to have been any negative attitude to naturists in recent times.
I always prefer to use the middle car park, even though it is a walk to the beach across the dunes, it is free parking, and I believe a shorter walk than either the main car park, or Crow Point, and you can remove clothes on the walk.

Is the place any good . Thinking of going tomorrow
Long expanse of beach with dunes behind, usually very few people around, well worth a trip.

This afternoon I went to Saunton, sun shining but quite a wind blowing. I found a nice spot just over the top of the dunes, protected from the wind.
An amazing time, three miles of golden sand, and only me there for over an hour, until the dog walkers started, but great way to spend three hours in the afternoon.

We used to go to Saunton Sands years ago with the kids(now 35 and 38 !) We used to park in the middle and walk over the dunes , wonderful beach .
It is very hard to describe the inner enjoyment of being naked .
