Anyone rccomend a beach in the north west ish that we could try out ?

I believe there are a couple near Barrow which are very nice and then Ainsdale/Sefton near Liverpool but reports say that the old bill patrol that one. can't give a 1st hand revew though. If you hear of any please spread the word we're starved of venues up here
